Quicky.
It felt like a big storm is coming when I woke up Tuesday morning so I thought I’d skip breakfast and do some cleaning – then probably hit the road for lunch because I had a new uber sunglasses from H&M, but plans was deterred by the announcement of the tropical cyclone Signal #8 which was generally expected to exceed 180km/h in the territory.
While I presumed nothing is going to happen as bad as I would imagine, Frank just started to kick in just five hours ago. I should have not bought that stupid sunglasses – it looks good on me so what the face.
Five hours prior to Frankie’s attack, I insisted that I should get a bowl of instant noodles or buy something for dinner before everyone goes panicky – not that I’d suspect there would be shortage of food whatsoever, incase the grocery shuts down, I’d buy something to save my ass.
Here’s what Frank looks like at this very moment.
Just so you know, despite feeling guilty of not putting a decent food in my stomach, I settled on to get some wafers, of all foods. I consumed at least 5 cans of coke, 5 mugs of three-in-one’s and I can’t sleep anymore.
It’s eleven past six in the morning, as I write this watching the weather, the city is doomed, sky’s looks very very angry, I’m hearing some noise outside, sounds like the signboards are being blown away into the streets.
Now my stomach is growling like thunder. I am craving on some sardines. I actually bought three cans – except that I don’t have a rice. I hope the strong signal would continue from now onwards so that I’d have an excuse not to go to work. But I doubt it.
Be safe.
Updates: As soon as I posted this, a news weather update was announced that the storm is lowering to Signal #3 in few hours. Feck, I should really get some sleep. That means work will be resumed back to normal.

I heard. Thank God my family back in Bicol were safe, kunting basa lang daw. It din’t last that long naman, parang dumaan lang dito. Same day it was lowered to #3 it’s like normal rain compared sa atin.

Dicey, didn’t happen – or else you’re really going to buy that Gucci plastic boots, hehehe. I went to work after it was lowered to #3 so got no typhoon allowance pay. Sayang!

Wind, was not that strong, minor falling trees, scaffolding, and hung-up signboards. After it was lowered, back to normal. Thanks.

Those are my neighboring buildings. My area isn’t as nice as what you think compared in NY. During the day, you could hear loud banging of machinery or something. There’s this big construction going on infront of my bldg – the whole block was turned down a few months ago to build commercial buildings and residential flats around. While downstair, the noise from industrial shops, so it’s like a jungle.

Ohnoes, sorry for the inconvenience. I’m probably busy tweaking css on my template. That or trying out new themes behind the scenes.
Thanks Jayme, I am alright. I just wished (like Dicey said) it would have lasted longer para “no work”, hehehe.

Kuya K, our house was flooded due to frank. The water came through the window sills. This is the reason also why my connection was interrupted for 6 days. I ust had my internet back yesterday afternoon.
I just noticed, buti pa dyan pag may bagyo walang brownout. dito kaunting hangin lang brownout agad.

I saw the news about the typhoon in the Philippines and the casualties. Grabe, kakalungkot. Kahit dito sa amin, mejo gloomy din ang weather. Buti naman wala na yung bagyo, umalis na ba?
Btw, I love this song by Gary V. “Take me out of the dark”…bakit wala ng song na ganito nowadays? puro remake na lang kasi!

But you know, I also miss the typhoon in the province – in a way na we make fiesta sa bahay to what to eat, sleep, watch DVD at nag-sisigawan kami ng “YUNG PAKO, dali — pumapasok ang TUBIG mababasa ang mga damit”. After the storm, we’d go out to see the shore, watch the big waves and pick up pieces of woods para pang-gatong. Sayang eh?

We watched too much TV nowadays. People watched American Idols, we copycat R&B kind of music, kaya medyo we don’t appreciate na that much yung gawa nina Gary V, and the rest. I was listening to old OPM’s and they are much more ‘listenable’ than the ones we hear from this young generation.

Korek, mamatay ako hindi dahil sa bagyo kundi sa gutom. I didn’t know kasi, ang sarap matulog kapag maulan. Buti na lang may mga noodles ako naitabi.
