It’s a jungle out there

The day was dragging me to the core, so I stepped outside and done some phototaking using my iPhone as a substitute of my Nikon. I went from Central to Wanchai to Causeway Bay.

It’s a jungle out there. But at least I enjoyed my time at G.O.D. How amazing to find a unique design using a kitchen plastic basin drainer that turned into a super-cool hanging light lamps.

Just Do It Billboard Krispy Kreme

Fendi in Tramcar My favorite part of the shop, CUSHIONS!

And oh, did I say I hate Krispy Kreme? Not their Doughnuts. They don’t make a better ice latte than the ones you can buy at Starbucks. Pero, meron na silang Free Home Delivery.

Besides, I was aiming to buy something (which I did, again) and end up at IKEA meeting an old folks looking for a twin bed and a closet. They remembered that I do like giving some “design ideas” on how to choose a great bedroom furnitures, like as if. I didn’t take a photo of us since it wasn’t allowed - if only I just snapped and didn’t ask the yellow-uniformed guy.

And I finally got that Diesel, leather wrist band, that I’d been lurking at Lane Crawford.

I can’t agree with you more. krispy kreme may have the freshest doughnuts but the coffee tasted stale and a bit pulpy, it’s plain bad. it’s as if they’re not changing the filter of their percolators. the tannin on the brew just makes my gut go sour. and the fancier baked products they offer? for me, they’re candy bars posing as doughnuts. way too sweet.

For some reason I like Dunkin Donuts better than Krispy. Dunkin still tastes very good when cold. I don’t mind carrying few boxes of Dunkin from Manila whenever I visit Bicol - wala sa amin eh.

Well , IT’S JUST A FREAK’IN DONUT! We’d do just as well sticking our face in a bag of sugar, hahaha.

Ooh, I love IKEA! I don’t really go and buy furniture from there, but the restaurants inside the store are GREAT!

I don’t buy bulky IKEA stuff anymore. My living condition was downsized to just the basic, small table, small chair, small foldable dining table - everything turned like MINIS. I don’t even eat in my own plate anymore, I buy my food outside and eat them straight from the styrofoam. Not very environmental-friendly huh?

Krispy Kreme arrived in HK really late, mga 1 yr pa lang ata and they start branching out - I notice before locals were not a fan of “sweets” and “coffees” but now you can find them in every corner of the road, just like McDo.

IKEA here is pretty small unlike in EU, mawawala ka talaga sa laki ng - pero nowadays, IKEA here is a place where you want to spend time appreciating small stuff and Pinoys are fans of kitchenwares - mura kasi para pang “door-to-door”.

I love krispy kremes too, though “nakakaumay” minsan when you always eat it kc nga super sweet. I haven’t tried the iced coffee. You don’t like it? Do you recommend?

I love IKEA too! The best yun lalo na when you move in to a new place and just starting out with new furnitures, etc. Ganda ng mga styles nila sa rooms, kitchen, etc.

Starbucks rules when it comes to coffee. I’d pick their cheesecakes over Krispy Kreme’s donuts actually. My favorite is the Caramel Machiatto. Try mo!

When I was still in HK. Going to Ikea and G.O.D was my retail therapy!

I never liked Sogo though. Feeling ko parang Fairmart before in Manila! hahahhaha

on Krispy Kreme. I like the normla, glazed doughnuts. That’s it. Coffee sucks , I agree!

Duke, uunga ano? Sogo is so so like Fairmart. Well now it’s huge, extended na - and the Gucci is always the crowded shop in there - you even have to wait 30mins in the queue. The locals favorite brand. I’d say, even myself even got ‘Guccizied’.

Nakuu Starbucks are everywhere na - it’s becoming like the McDo version when it comes to “what size is your coffee over what size is your ice-tea”?

krispy kremes are good to satisfy cravings, i think, but not as a staple food. tama ka, the donuts are light and fluffy but i find them too sweet. dunkin donuts, da best. :)

buti ka pa pasyal and shopping galore over there. i’ll just live through you na lang. :D
