A spaceship has landed in Hong Kong
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
It may look like a spaceship but this is a futuristic art pavilion shape designed by renowned British-Iraqi deconstructivist architect Zaha Hadid.
The pavilion was set up on the roof of a downtown Hong Kong car park, surrounded by some of the city’s iconic skyscrapers.
Mobile Art, which features artist interpretations of the Chanel iconic quilted handbag will circulate around the globe over the next two years after launching in Hong Kong. The idea of the exhibit is for art to merge with architecture, while adding a fresh element of music to accompany the journey. Visitors are also invited to wear headphones playing a music track.
The shiny white building and its contents will be moved throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. For more information, please visit www.chanel-mobileart.com.

Inthesity, hahaha sorry Madrid is not on the itinerary - but why not visit Paris? I know you’ve been travelling around the globe these days. How are you?
i wonder will it ever land in manila… hmm..

Sorry, Ron Manila may be just 2 hours away from HK but they even skipped Singapore and China. I think they choose HK as the ladies around here take their fashion very seriously.
K-san,
I’ve missed reading your posts. Must catch-up on what I’ve missed so far. Sorry!!
Aww shucks! Everything always goes to New York! Something like this would have been really cool displayed on da island
Ohh well…maybe if I can get a free roundtrip ticket to NY, I may consider it (lol!!)
Take care…

C, hahahaha “K-San”. Arigatogosaimasu. Who knows this spaceship looking art will fly across Hawaii one day and land in the sea, that’d be cool.
Don’t worry about NOT visiting, I’ve been a snub brat these days too, but once I got my groove back, I’m bloghopping than I’d normally do.

Out of the loop? I wanna do that too, even if I don’t bloghop much these days I’m always stucked around “here”, just doing the normal things, work-sleep-and eat noodles. Good to see you catching up. I saw your latest “poop” post, hahahaa “ICE CREEMS”.
did I read it right? it’s mobile? How the heck would they move that from place to place (kamot ulo). hmmm baka nakakalas then attach the pieces again. This is very interesting indeed.
Bluep. I think the purpose of this is to promote more of its image, the most luxurious brand in fashion world and it is all in the name of selling more bags, watches, pens, shoes and clothing. I heard this was created from fibreglass panels, took six months to build and will be dismantled seven times to travel the world. Can you imagine?
Talking about controversy.
