A virtual fish swimming in my blog

December 17, 07

Can you see them?

Add some fun with it. Point the mouse of your cursor into the fish and see what happens - they actually swim towards the mouse hoping you’d feed them with flakes of food. Click your mouse many times around it and they’d get crazy. I find it really really cute.

I actually have a tiny aquarium with 8 tiny gold fishes(es) about three months ago - and now when I checked to feed them the other day, there were at least more than 10 mini-golden baby fishes swimming around the bigger ones, the “queen mother” has now little siblings. I was so happy.

Why fish? A fish is considered a feng shui lucky object when it comes to that ellusive stuff called luck.

In the Chinese belief, water is a basic and very beneficial feng shui element, and the feng shui fish and water combination can produce many different succesfull outcomes. The water in which a feng shui fish based benefit is searched should be clean and preferable receive day light. A fish symbolizes prosperity in many different life areas.

I believe that beauty and natural life balance are very important concepts for feng shui, and the search for harmony within elements should always have those concepts in mind as well. As an example, if you want to start with a small aquarium, place it near the entrance of your door. According to the Feng Master at work, a fish is traditionally symbolizes baby dragons, which makes them creators of good luck and good outcomes in any businesses or a house and this where you may start all your wishes.

Aside: If your browser has a flash plugin, you may be able to see the fish swimming around already. If not, you’ll need to download the Adobe flash player then visit this site to get the fish gadget.

My lucky number is said to be 8.
