Snob [noun]: a person who believes himself or herself an expert or connoisseur in a given field and is condescending toward or disdainful of those who hold other opinions or have different tastes regarding this field: a musical snob. Dictionary.com
Some people at work says that I am a snob. Well I see myself the uber-cool person. Maybe I am just not in the same league as the others. I avoid crap conversations. I avoid getting into the habit of telling people what I’d got. What really matters is what I like, not what I am like.
Here I took the Snob Quiz.
Your Snob-O-Meter score is 56%. Sorta snobby. You can be relaxed and accepting of those that don’t fit your criteria for being “cool”, but you also have the occasional bout of superiority. Perhaps there are certain things that matter more to you than others, or you just get in a snobby mood from time to time. Whatever the case, you should refrain from judging others on superficial qualities. Don’t judge a book by its cover. You don’t know what fabulous and fascinating people you might discount just because they’re not wearing the right brand of socks. Of course, this semi-snob attitude might get you a better job with a bigger paycheck. Snobs tend to have more self-confidence which means they get to call the shots. Watch out for those bouts of humility which are the hallmarks of a loser and can spell disaster in this dog-eat-dog world.
This does not, of course, mean that my life consists of only brown-nosing. But yes, I like going out of my way not to piss off someone. And for that matter, I like going out of my way not to piss on someone, either.
Is anyone here a snob? Are we all cool? Has anyone ever called you a snob to your face?

I got 56% which is “Sorta snobby”. When I meet people I like, I won’t act snobby. I know when people deserve respect and when they don’t.

Nax Malen, thank you. I mean really, it’s very difficult to define exactly what snobbery means now. It’s like the word ‘elite’, which to me is a compliment and to everybody else is a term of abuse, innit?

Cheh, mentally kinukulam? You mean hokus-pokus na may wisik wisik?
Best if we just stay away from these kind of people (and if we did, it’d turn out that we are indeed the snobs). On blogging, I read and observe people. I can easily ditch those “who talk to themselves” sorta like, “HEY LOOK AT ME, I AM BETTER THAN YOU”. No offense but I’m thinking of shedding out some links to my list, hahaha I’m so mean. Now call me a snob, it feels great when I said that.
I don’t really find you a snob. I thought you’re like the Queen (reynaelena.com) with a social climbing skills. In other words, bigatin. Hehehe. Before i was tagged as snobbish too. Then i learned to get more closer to people, nawala na din yung impression. I’ve learned a lot from them.

am not near a snob and i haven’t been tagged as a snob. kasi i always smile at every person i meet and followed by a “hi” or “hello.” it is a habit i got used to.

I scored 50% sorta snobby, I do try to go out of my way not to piss off someone, but sometimes it’s a force of bad habit that I would piss someone off just for the fun of it, my bad. I don’t think you’re a snob, just unique.
