A Christmas shelf tree

Shelf tree
Shelf tree via swissmiss.

It made me smile really.

Christmas trees are like snow forts or sand castles or art projects: the fun part, the worthwhile part, the creative part, is the process of getting the tree and decorating it. The finished product is not what matters.

I’m a minimal Christmas tree. I am not a total Scrooge, but I feel there’s no need to go overboard at Christmas. Less is more, and my Christmas reflects refined quality.

    Very ingenious Christmas three, congratulations.
I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.

Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish. Christmas, in short, is about the only chance a man has to be himself. It is not a fashion, it is just a way to be.

No, no Ate Beng kids will not appreciate this as they still love Xmas tree with full of candies, boxes of gifts and flickering lights. I’ve seen a real tree and I actually love the “aroma” of it. Do you usually put a real tree ba?

Malen, in the prabins, during my childhood I remembered gumagawa kami ng Xmas tree na dinidikit lang sa dingding. We make soap hard bubbles as oppose to as “fake snows” tapos we splat them on the walls and form a tree. Eh mainit sa Pinas, so bago dumating and Xmas, unti unti silang natutunaw.

Belle, pasencia. When I’m bored, I’d sing just to pass the time. Honestly the community online karaoke is not just for the shower anymore – you can record and publish it online and sing like everyon’e watching.

Exactly. It has always been a favourite time of the year for everyone. And to some, it’s a time where we pretend that our good behavior for the day will carry over to the rest of the year. Good food, presents, Hallmark, no school- altogether, parties…. and oh new shoes. And I don’t think that anybody should be alone on Xmas.

    Thanks for the visit.

I love books; this is an ideal Christmas tree for me. I do put up a Christmas tree every year and this year I decided for a live tree, everything just so depressing around me and I thought this might cheer me up a bit. I like you new Christmassy looks.
