And because I am working again on the third week of Sunday, and because Sunday is my normal email reading weekend, and because I care for people who sends me Inspirational forwarded emails, and because this is from my bestfriend, I’m sharing this beautiful message just in case you missed that huge mass on Sunday. Please take time to read it for it may very well change your day.

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six pack of root beer and he started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons.

The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted.

They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?” He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied, “I ate Twinkies in the park with God.” However, before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday.

Diane, you know me well, my normal blogging hours is usually during the graveyards.

Hi Malen, leaving comments on someone else blog other than yourself can be motivational specially during the day when we’re hitting a slump on what to blog next. I believe that we can all get inspiration from different people or places by reading other people’s blog and I’m glad you passed by.

Chuva, so don’t be late. After posting this, I’ve realized that we can grow so much even with just two lines of God’s Word as long as we fully digest it. It made my day too.

Nell, sometimes reading something like this makes me feel guilty of a lot of things - and the truth is, I may not be a “Jesus Freak” but inspirational story such as this made me think that He is really talking to me. And by sharing this for everyone, at least I’m already feeling part of it.

KK (mygoodfinds), it’s a TWINKIES - a golden sponge cake with creamy fillings. In the US, the Twinkie is commonly regarded as the quintessential junk food. In HK, I called it cheesecake with blueberry fillings, hahaha.

Marni, and this actually served as my little prayer before going to work on Sunday. Ditto.

Masel, Masel, you know what I’ve always missed to attend the mass at St. Marga (sorry I call saint’s like that) church, yung mga pamangkins ko tinuturuan akong gumising ng maaga, so minsan, dun ako sa St Joe Church for evening mass. The Soy family have already moved from So-Ho (South Horizon) to Gold Coast (it’s in New Territories I think). Meaning, super expat life talaga sina Kuya Bob natin dun. Kids are growing so fast at moccang mga artista na sila, seriously. Every Friday evening, the couples would attend the “Couple of Christ” session sa chapel near worldwide house - nagkita kami one time dun, dyahe nga lang kasi, ako ang walang ka partner so I declined the invitation (there’s the devil in me, I know).

Would you believe, your favourite store KOOKAI in PP is making every girl happy kapag sale. Whenever I pass by sa shop na yun, ikaw naiisip ko and it made me smile really. Miss you more.

That is really sweet. I love stories like this. The photo made me long for something sweet and yummy. I myself believe that God is in everything - the sunshine, the fluffy clouds, the gentle breeze and gurgling brook. As well as kindness of others and the laughter of children.

This is a very cute story; I met people like that before but never thought they’re God, but more like Angels. :) That looks yummy :P

Pao, it could be, too. Food that makes me smile are usually the one that you can pick and put in your mouth all at once. Try orange chiffon cupcake, it’s light and delcious pero subukan mong kaining buo kung di ka mabilaukan. Try natin hahaha.

Hey Joy, doesn’t it make you smile when someone call you that name, ‘Joy’? I did.

Ginger, I think I have two Guardian Angels, one of the left side’s telling me things I don’t mean and the right side’s telling me to say things that I do mean. And most of the time I can hear one of them fighting over something - but of course the good Angel wins.

Joy, re: I LOVE YOU - those words in different laguages is so powerful, only people who are truly INLOVE can express it from their heart. As for me I LOVE YOU is when Jesus stretched out His arms and died on the cross and that was the BEST and the MOST POWERFUL!

Funny, I don’t seem to have anyone telling me to say things, but I seem to say less this day.

such a heartwarming story! doing good deed to other people is not that hard to do. i do it now and then especially to the elders who are unhappy because they live in a nursing home. it breaks my heart when they crave for attention and they don’t get it.
