I love black, clean minimalist look. Black is often worn as a symbol of mourning because I think it signify sadness. In Hong Kong, black is considerably fashionable as it is also symbolizes as mysterious, strong and fierce in a fashion kind of way.

My current desktop. Like I said in the past, there are other things that I always love Hong Kong, it’s the City Of Nights. Hong Kong is such a fantastic place that I personally recommend, a place to go to. And its very much right that HongKong is “Truly Asia’s World City”. See more on Pimping My Mac Desktop.

Apparently, I do as I have instructed. Thanks Thess for this My Desktop Free View tag. So therefore I have decided to tag the people who are kind enough to actually do these things too.

I’d like to see Midori’s because she loves tweaking things on her blog; Kofi, for being mysteriously awesome; Dicey, for simply being humorous; Rho, for being a Mac lover too; Pao, for being a tech-savvy; Belle, for finding her new love in photography and Gerry, for being witty.

Here’s a quick instructions:

A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.

You can do a screen capture by: [1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). [2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). [3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.

For MAC users: Press  [ Shift ] and [ 3 ]

B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.

C. Tag five or more of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.

D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

    Ron, it’s a nice concept. I would love to see others participating, well don’t we all LOVE pimping something beside this? It is by far the easiest tag-challenge for me.

    Kofi, you heard it girl – no escaping. Anything, or nothing I won’t complain as long as you have other alternative means of sharing something, maybe a picture of your bedroom wallpaper? I think that’s ok with me.

    Pao, thanks Milkshake. No, someone from HK in flickr shared this photo. I have one similar but not so great. And if you know the movie Tom Raider starring Angie aka Lara Croft, that tall building (IFC) in the picture was used in one of the intense fight scene wherein she dramatically leap off from the then-under-construction International Finance Centre, landing on a ship somewhere in Kowloon Bay. It’s now one of the tallest building in Asia.

    And of course, about your tag, I’m working on it, give me few days kasi parang magasgas ang utak ko sa tag mo na yan, hahaha.

    Cheh, wala kang masabi? Sabihin mo ng maayos kung hindi, pakakainin kita ng fried tofu, hahaha. I have to give a big props to my Mac on this.

    Chuva, I’m loving everything about Mac really, but man, softwares are just expensive. Well having a Mac is like having a BMW I think, hahaha. Go get one!

    Ate Beng, I actually change themes every now and then, fickle-mindedness is distractful, today I love it, tomorrow I dumped it, parang blog-theme, I tend to change here and there.

    Duke, thank you, I guess Mac makes good, clean and beautiful desktop, it’s really easy. I have used Windows na rin kasi so I can pretty much tell the difference. And what I really like about my desktop is the Genie effect on the bottom iconbars.

    Ron, I actually din’t do anything, wordpress did it for me. I am not sure if the Dashboard are the same with wp.com or wp.org. Say, go to your Dashboard -> Option -> Discussion -> *under Usual settings for an article: put a tick on “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)” So, that’s basically what I did. If you disabled it, of course trackback links won’t show on your comments. My other alternative is technoratis, that is when I check for my inbound links.

    Vanidosa, business or pleasure? HK is so much alive at night, best location will be at The Peak – exhilarating!
