I was browsing around the Loft Shop at Hong Kong Seibu today and look what I found, a Retro mobile gadget for todays mobile users called Yubz Talk.
All you need to do is just attach the iconic handset shape with any mobile phones and you’re ready to answer incoming calls.
It looks cool (funny at the same time) and it can help prevent radiation if you’re talking on your mobile too close in your ears the whole time. Ever wonder those ‘Matrix’ looking people on bluetooth earpiece? Boy do they look like a retard talking with nobody? Not with this. It will make you laugh and scracth your head in shocked. Amazing!

A british woman behind me had this ‘it’s-not-working-on-me’ face as she tried it with her PDA phone. Her child wanted it so much that upon seeing it worked on my phone, she cried silently and whispered to her Mom, “why is that guy laughing on the phone when it isn’t working anyways?” I called my friend for a test and she was clueless as to why I was also laughing. I said, “it’s the E.T. phone I’m using, you should try this”.
So what can I say? Cheeky, isn’t it?
It’s a little expensive, HK$300.00 (roughly) but this headset is pretty. It’s got a super handy one-touch, pick up/hang up button, plus volume control slider built right into it. It’s lightweight, and has great sound and voice quality. It reminds me of my teenage years really.
And what’s more, it’s compatible with PC and MAC. Works with SKYPE, GOOGLE TALK, YAHOO MESSENGER, MSN, AIM, etc. Watch the YUBZ TALK PHONE video.

I´ve seen this somewhere but whit a blue tooth conexion.
No kidding! I saw it, tested it and it’s not equipped with a bluetooth (unless your phone has a built-in).
Woah… i haven’t come across anything like that till now. But it will be inconvenient for people like me.. i don’t quite like carrying bags with me. I like my hands free.
check this out…..http://shop.hulger.com/products.php?dept=1007
Asha, I actually think this is fun for the KIDS. In case I have one of these and bring it with me, I would worry about where to hang it? Ok, keep the handsfree.
inthesity, whoah, those are cute but I don’t think they are available here. You always give me something to think about with the links you recommend, mmmmm.
ang cute! I want one
kyuti! naalala ko tuloy yung antique version ng mga homephone. yung kulay ginto na di-dial pa yung numero. hehe kyut …
Duke, ang cute diba? Pambata nga lang, pero medyo mahal nga lang. It will work for me, kasi wala naman akong landline sa bahay so I basically use my cellphone for all my incoming calls, at mismo, pwede sa Skype chat din.
Wind, asteg diba?
hindi lang pambata, pangmatanda na rin. kaya lang it is a nuisance to take along unless you carry a bag. ikaw talaga k, you are always the first one to introduce us to these new amazing gadgets. thanks!
I kind of like the ipod cover for a present for my daughter’s graduation.
Exactly, masyadong intimidating ang dating hahaha. I believed this was launched in HK early January, this year, so actually late na ako.
For the iPod, give her the set, a pouch bag, silicone cover & cellphone-stand. iPod store sells these accessories kaso mas marami sa ibang cellphone stores - mas may hype sila. Just visit the nearest tech-store, meron diyan for sure.
