it’s all about the taxis, billboards, sidewalks, cinemas, zebra lines, lights, sounds, people, skyscrapers and shopping malls.

i-Cat Musical PetI am now an avid fan of cute little things. I like pleasant things. Minimalist. Including nice people. Don’t we all? I like people saying nice words, in a cute way.

Here’s a goal: Do you know that by doing three (3) nice things every day, maybe all the World’s problems could be solved? Like how? Think again. Have you always wanted to do this? Or have you done it?

The World is so big. Then why not start it from YOU first? Then if you did, the next thing you know, the YOU will become WE, then as we go for more, the WE becomes US. I am supposed to do that yesterday but well, it turned out somebody else just did that instead of me. Here’s three.

1. I left my house late at five, walked enroute in the same side of the road, ended up at Starbucks and ordered my Macchiatos. Usually, I would line up at the “Take Away” counter and pick up the coffee myself. The tender smiled back and told me to find my favourite couch and she’ll deliver it herself. I thought, how nice of her. I think she remembered me. I was pleased.

2. I was standing near the TramCar stop when someone noticed me from the mobile shop nearby where I bought my Samsung phone and said, “I always see you riding the tram every other day. Where do you usually go?” To which I replied, “going to find something to eat for lunch”. She smiled, “this late”? Imagine, someone you don’t know, not your friend, not your relative would asked something like that. I felt like there are really people out there who cared to even asked if I was okay.

3. I went to visit my brother yesterday and I asked if I can join them for dinner. My nephew appeared a little worried so he handed me a cracker and went down at 7-11 stores and bought me a can of coke. I was not even thirsty. But he insisted because he knew I like Coca-Cola. Such a terrific kid.

I must be really lucky, I thought and realized that I was probably wrong when I said that being nice is not nice at all. Actually it made me feel so damn good. Sometimes nice things come back and surprise you. Have you received any nice compliments about your lifestyle lately? Do you like to share? It would be nice.

nice post, K. you can never go wrong with doing good deeds to people though you can’t get too far with it as people would start taking advantage of you. i tell you why. when i went home in the province, i was nice to people. a lady came to my house to solicit money and i obliged. i gave her fair amount of money. then another lady came, i gave her half of what i paid the first one. and then it never quit, one after the other..i said, hey, “i am out of money.” “the only money i have is set aside for my expenses in Manila and in the airport.” you know what the lady said? “if you can send the money by April 12 please” and she was serious. geeshhh, the nerve!

Belle, sobra naman yun. Actually it also happened to us way way back. People in our province really take advantage of you, kesyo you work abroad kala nila madali lang ang pera. Ang hirap kayang magtrabaho sa ibang bansa. Kaya minsan I don’t “announce” my homecoming, not that I’m staying away from the people I know, pero medyo natauhan na kami sa ganyang mga tao. Minsan kapag sobrang pakikisama mo, ikaw pa yung masama. Kahit dito, although there’s a chance to mingle with fellow Viracnons, I stay away na lang.

Waaah, it’s so dark and wet outside, almost apocalyptic. Well, if I’d see someone outside running around without any protection against the elements I would do a nice deed and throw an umbrella from my office building… and maybe a boat and a paddle.

Well, I’ve always liked nice & cute stuff. Like Pooh bear and Happy Tree Friends. It’s almost easy to find cute people but not so easy to find the nice ones. ;)
People weren’t always nice to me. Well, I can’t expect them to anyway. :P But I also have had better days. Like in the blog-o-spehere.

Thanks for dropping my blog and have a nice day! :D

Dicey, HAHAHAHA. Yeah I woke up today and I thought it was still dark, went back to sleep. The weather was so weird, dark clouds and the sudden torrential downpour usually gives me the sad mood.

Hi Elaine, the pooh bear? Me and the kids visited DisneyLand a few months ago and they kept telling me to go for a Pooh Bear ride. Seriously, it was cute but didn’t actually enjoyed it because the queue waiting time was longer than the ride itself (less than 10mins) so NO POOH BEAR for me next time. I like Minnie Mouse - she just makes me want to pull her cute wiggling butt and those skinny legs in black stockings? She’s so cute.

it’s nice to receive, and it’s nicer if we pay forward.

nowadays when we are so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we sometimes forget to be human, little acts and gestures of kindness can sometimes go a long way and make a difference.

I believe that good deeds comes in small packages. It’s admirable but sometimes we can’t just go too far. And although it’s contagious, one random act can spread like wild fire. This city lacks of “nice people”. Imagine if you are in a train, people just bump at each other, not expecting a “sorry” or “excuse me”. You’ll get lucky if someone smiles at you for no particular reason, you know she is a Filipina. :)

The vibrations of being nice to someone flows from a beautiful mind. If we think positive, only then we can make others feel positive. In this life, people are always ready to find faults in others, but are ever curious to hear good things bout’ themselves…!!
