April Fools

Don’t hate me.

My apologies to some of you my dear readers who fell for the April Fools Joke I posted previously. It was just for the fun of it. My aim for that joke was to bring embarrassment to the gullibles (which is you) and I thought, great, perfect hoax.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, the 1st of April is marked as the April Fool’s Day and is a day to play pranks and jokes on one another.

I have actually done a few pranks to somebody I know on previous years. This person actually believes in whatever I say. I phoned this person from work while I was having my break at our cafeteria - imitated a cantonese Immigration Officer’s voice, and said those threatening news into her ears. I actually demanded her to have another appointment and to bring some documents including a letter from her company signed by the Human Resources, like literally. I knew beforehand that she was actually processing her visa so upon knowing it, I made her actually believed that if she fails to submit the forms, she will have no choice but to go back to the Philippines.

As I watched her on the other end of the table, I could almost see her reactions. Her face was so red. Scared. Shocked. To make matters worst, I left her a number - my number, demanded to return the call right away. I hanged up. Waited for a few minutes and she dialed. I answered the phone while standing behind her and then she realized that she was just one of my innocent victims and gave her a BIG laughing out loud. It was just a small common trick but the person actually believed it without any doubt. How fool it was to see her panicked.

And you? Have you played a strangest prank ever on April 1 yet? Or are you just waiting for someone who will say “April Fools!” to you? I hope I didn’t upset anyone, but as far as I know, the “end of blogging” is not my favourite thing to say so it will not gonna happen. At least for now.

:D figured you can’t resist tickling the keyboards!!!!! hahaha! Ikaw pa!

barkada ko never fails to do april fools stunts. One of my friends even does those during Holy Innocents Day on January. Nakamarka na sa calendario niya yun. :D

Isn’t that absurd? Hahahaha. Well I’m just sharing the spirit of the event and I wll have another sequel next year but what I’m not going to do is mess with other people’s stuff such as computers or other gadgetery or maybe I will eventually try to push someone from the 50th storey building. How’s that? :)

2007-04-02 02:03:01

hay naku ha!!!!!
I was fooled there you prankster!

2007-04-02 02:35:32

You did your joke yesterday, so call it march fools.
I think my English is not that good, Gigi(my cuosins nick) was the writer, I was the translator. I´m happy you liked it I´ve tasted them all and are delicious.

2007-04-02 07:31:49

Oh damn I fell for it. :P Good April Fool’s joke.

2007-04-02 12:26:15

Duke, pasiencia. Hahaha. I was even fooled with my daily horoscope. It says I seriously need to subscribe for some glossy magazine (it’s going to be GQ) about shopping. But the truth is, this is the month that I should not GO OUT the entire week without spending any money at all.

Inthesity, I think it was the right timing so it sounded more believable. :)
Weng, I really don’t mind if someone do it the same to me. But you know if you’re having doubts, don’t do it because hurting someones feelings is no joke at all.

2007-04-02 13:22:36

Hehe..galing ng April Fool’s Joke mo! Buti na lang I didn’t get to read it, if not I would have been among those who fell for it. Good to know that you’re not leaving us. :D

Hahaha Jaypee, nothing wrong on playing a little trick on April Fools. Even the Wordpress.com guys done that for everyone. When I logged-in, I saw my site on the Best Blog Of The Minute after reading their announcement of the new Blog ranking stats. I was very happy when I saw it tho later I found (like most of the wordpresser) that they were only playing an April Fools joke.

2007-04-02 13:41:11

i’m curious about how that person/friend feels everytime you do a prank on her. i’m assuming she’s a good sport?

2007-04-02 13:48:36

She’s a ‘clueless’ person. Not only me who done silly things on her (I even feel bad when I done that) but she’s the person who usually take things too seriously and never get the time to have fun (masyadong “manang”). Kawawa naman.

My god you really tricked me!

2007-04-02 22:42:49

Hahaha Val, I was actually ‘laughing in silence’ after reading those comments. Wasn’t it your first comment around here, was it? And you actually fell for it.

Charles, forgive me. LOL.

2007-04-03 02:53:27

It is okay dear K at least no one here tried to tricked me.

My director called my producer that the whole film got lost and stuff like that. I feel so sorry for her to fell for that trick.

2007-04-03 02:56:27

Hey, you’re still up. I came back to check your earlier post and realized it was a comment whore week - that empress made me laugh. :)
I’m sitting here all day reading blogs and ARPIL FOOLS are everywhere. Same complaints. Give me something to blog about.

2007-04-03 04:33:37

hahahaha…K, typical Catandunganon, a great teaser! good thing, i didn’t read your entry earlier, or, i, like others, would have begged you to reconsider.

lucky, no one played jokes on me on April’s fool.

2007-04-03 07:36:00

2007-04-03 08:50:20

Belle, considered yourself lucky although I was expecting from you to say something more dramatic to that effect, I’m sure I’d be crying from laughing. Buti na lang nasa Virac ka.

Hi ghee, thanks for visiting. One way or another, playing Charles’ game gave us the true form of blogging, that is connecting with everyone in the blogosphere.

2007-04-03 08:53:50

Hah, thank god I read this late. :P
Anyways, I was fooled by my sis and argh, really felt like a bloody retard. Some people just have their way…

2007-04-03 09:39:59

Hi C, you didn’t get fooled in your house? Aw where’s the spirit? You should have called Ryan that you’re meeting him somewhere while you’re hiding in the closet? It would have been a wonderful idea.

Asha, tell you what, life in this world is divided into two kinds of people, one is a fool and the other is the bad, (either way, one who likes me and the other who hates me) so now that you are aware of this, I’ll try to do it every year - that is if I’m still blogging. In reality, I love making jokes at people and they do the same to me so it’s not bad than feeling sorry. Ok, forget the idea, I’m very sensitive to someone who put the jokes on me. So I won’t tolerate that.

2007-04-03 09:45:31

I got fooled that I had to stay at work until nine, not cool! :) But I didn’t think you would truly leave the blogging world this soon. Good joke, K! Something that caught everyone’s attention! :P

hey! This was your link prior to mine ^_^

Now, I can comment:

————-

I was fooled by the gmail paper prank. I was like, uhmm, fronting the monitor for 10 minutes to look for the option, only to find out that it’s a joke. I’ve forwarded it to my friends who have gmail accounts.

And oh, the queer chef pimped me here that I haven’t commented. ^_^

2007-04-03 12:58:24

i dropped by. naligaw lang. hehe.

2007-04-04 02:54:55

Ed, sorry to hear about your experienced. None of my other non-blog friends didn’t come up with a joke except that someone has kept dialing my number but everytime I was about to pick it up and answer, they hanged up. My intention was to see if someone really believe in April Fools and most of us actually did. Googles hoaxes for example. Have you signed up on their Gmail Paper Archives btw? (referring to what Neil said).

Neil, after reading your comments before approval, you caught me all RED handed. I was like damnnn that was my personal account link. Of course I edited the link before someone else could crash my entire system. Thanks for pointing that one and sorry for not giving the right linkage from Charles site. Honestly, I really don’t mind if the next person who supposedly leave a note as far as the game is concerned, didn’t bother to leave a comments - it won’t do no harm to me. It was fun seeing people joining that game but at the end, people like us who are both regulars at Charles blog (considering we are only a click-away) would eventually find each other’s game someday, somewhere in the University of Blog. So please bear with me for the mistake. I need to tell Charles to remove the links right away.

Reyna, thanks for the visit. Come back again soon.

I was certainly pimped - yet excited :) I don’t remember giving a really good prank away yet - I usually am the one being fooled. I am willing to believe everything. I am not a blue eyed and naive - just a open minded person with a lot of trust in the people around me (which is indeed a lie).

Hey K where did you get those small buttons that are place on the top right side of your blog. Just above your small bio and somewhat next to the search engine

2007-04-04 11:50:48

if you were born on april 1, are you a fool?

nice joke K. have a great April.

2007-04-04 12:47:28

Hi Nan, I guess its a human nature, I believe in two simple things, 1) you can never tell what somebody might do to you 2) all of us are pretty much the same. :)
Charles, I got it from their respective sites my blog has linked into except the “home” and ‘email’ icon - I stole it somewhere and save it in my server. Do you notice? I like “BLUE” and a little bit of web 2.0 looking icons. Oh if you want those, just copy them.

Dez, I would say, a special one, not only because its your bday but everyones celebrating at least. :)
