i usually just order a macchiato too, when i do starbucks. and ehem, i do blogging at the office simply because i don’t have a laptop/notebook yet. *sigh*

I have rarely blogged outside my home or work (it happens sometimes). I have used internet cafés daily in the last week in Thailand. Starbucks charges 150BHT per hour of WiFi access, and that is expensive.

I don’t know what the situation is in Taiwan, because my laptop rarely leaves home. When I upgrade to a MacBook and move to Taipei, I’ll let you know.

I have blogged extensively from airports and found the situation a bit frustrating, because power plugs are so hard to find in HK, Bangkok and Taoyuan as well as Phuket. I bruised a rib sitting on a cart in Phuket as I blogged in a corner by myself.

In Canada, WiFi hotspots are mostly free. All cafés offer free internet through hotspots, which is why I find Starbucks a bit strange since they charge people for that. Makes me want to go back home and use my computer instead of trying to find a free hotspot.

Some cities are blanketed by WiFi hotspots, making the internet accessible freely from everywhere. I don’t remember the names, but know that Taipei isn’t one of them. I think most of them are in the US (LA will be blanketed by 2009 and Atlanta is in the running as well).

I have got no idea on the status of hotspots in Taipei, but I guess I will find out soon enough, as I am moving there next week.

I’d prefer “To Go” because I enjoy having a smoke and a coffee. But now that things has somewhat changed, I like to stay, with a laptop and still enjoys the coffee.

Can you buy me a coffee?

hmm… starbucks here in Malaysia is full of ppl with their laptop and doing all kind of stuff, so don’t worry u are not alone even u are not in the same city
sometimes I do hate those ppl with their laptop and for us those who don’t really hard to get a sits haha!! btw nice pic
