I received a bad news that a very good friend just lost her baby inside her womb, not sure how old, not sure if she lost it to a cord wrapped around the baby’s neck uterus or something.
That makes me sad. Is there anything I can do or say to help her through this time? I can’t pretend it hasn’t happened, or that it isn’t a horrible tragedy.

i’m sorry to hear about your friend’s loss. at work, i come across situations like, or similar to, this from time to time. sometimes, i’m at a loss for words, but…my advice is to offer your condolences to her and her family. let her know that they’re in your prayers, and let her know that you’re there for them. if there’s anything you can offer to help them out, let them know, too! hope this helps!
So sorry to hear about your friend! I do agree you can’t pretend it hasn’t happened but I know it is hard to find something comforting to say. The fact that you bother is the best thing to do I would say, so why don’t just tell her you are thinking of her and will be there for her if she needs a friend to talk to.
Thanks Rho & Renny for the kind words. It’s probably never easy comforting someone who hast lost a lovedone on the phone, or an email. But I’m sure she is in my prayers. Thanks again.
K, I’m sure no matter what you say, words will not be able to express your sympathy for her. Just be there. If she needs some space, give it to her. Ask her if she wants to talk about it and try to listen if she does!
I’m sure Isay have already contacted her, she lives in Australia - news like these usually mahina ang tuhod ko diyan. I hate bad news, small or big I take them too seriously minsan naapektuhan ako just thinking about it.
I hope she’s fine. I will call when things gets better on her side.
i’m so sorry to hear about your friend’s tragedy
i’ve been there and i know how hard it must be for her to lose her child. for sure, having good friends like you around will make it easier for her to recover. just stick around, ok?
