The saddest year for my family this Christmas

The recent typhoon Reming in the Philippines was really devastating. My Island Province was severly damaged specially the town of Virac, the capital of Catanduanes. I have no contacts whatsoever with my family, relatives, townmates and I don’t know what’s happening right now back there. There have been no updates & news from Virac (even my brothers who has cable TV had no idea about the typhoon Reming).
I’ve been wondering until now what’s the scenario of my hometown. This is making me really really sad. There’s no electricity. No internet. No cellphone coverage.
A friend of mine here in Hong Kong who’s also my townmate, sent me some pictures online and upon seeing it, I couldn’t help but cry. Take a look at this website where you can see how the last strong typhoon hit Catanduanes. The pictures made my knees really weak and it’s simply depressing. I’m still at shock. Scared. Sad. Worried.
Stats from DSWD Catanduanes showed that, in Virac, there are 6,229 families affected or 37,374 persons; 2778 totally damaged houses and 3,999 partially damaged houses; 5 dead; and, 170 injured. The rest of the schools in Virac are totally damaged.
In the whole province of Catanduanes, 18,870 families are affected or 68,812 persons; 7,501 totally damaged houses and 12,574 partially damaged houses; 12 dead; 185 injured; and, 3 missing.
Please help me continue praying for the safety, hope, strength and courage of my loved ones there.
