What would you do when you’re pissed off?

Broken

And today, I discovered that my Canon IXY Digital 30 camera is broken. The LCD doesn’t function anymore, tried a few flicks but the shots were all as if painted like a pink zoomy pastel colors that visualizes with no particular sight. Now where’s the good chance to make a decent photograph?

I’m pissed.

I thought that was the only one, well there are more broken things. My IE browser is not updating automatically. I’ve been trying to update to the latest beta version but it won’t let me, it remained to be the version 5 after reinstalling my Mac OS X look. Yes, I reinstalled the whole Crystal Clear desktop. The problem after removing the application was when I uninstalled, it still leaves a large amount of traces behind and I couldn’t even find how to clean them up. I made an attempt to update the windows by itself and left the house in the hopes that if I’d come back after 8 hours, it’d be fixed. But NADAH. It keeps going and going in “searching” for the latest update. Failed.

I’m pissed.

As for my iTunes and iPod? NADAH! Both aren’t loading either. I updated it to the latest version but it failed several times.

I’m pissed.

I turned on my TV today, the remote control is dead. Battery needs to be replaced, I know that - haven’t really replaced it for 3 years, so I zoomed my finger to find the button, but guess what? The button was stucked. I took a knife, poked it, so now it’s broken.

I’m pissed.

What do you do when you are pissed off? I usually go and spend money. I just spent HK $176 on a white computer table from IKEA hanging it on my neck as I wave for a red taxi cab. I thought I was relieved when I finally got inside the car. Half way as the driver drove thru, he asked where I was heading. He doesn’t know where Wanchai is? I came from Causeway Bay and it would only take him 10 minutes to Wanchai area, the next district. So he went into circle around Causeway Bay and forcefully asked him to drop me off right infront of the taxi stand where I’ve come from. I took another taxi cab and asked if he is “English”, he replied in Chinese so I assumed he understood. The entire ten minutes inside the car, he kept swearing about the minibuses drivers who drives erratically. Not wreckless, just erratic, who thinks they owned the entire road.

He was pissed, too.

So I can tell when your blood is boiling, you really don’t know what to do. I arrived home and cooled it off with a nice cold coca-cola and I’ve forgotten - - *silence* I took one stick, just one but I felt better. Forgive me.

BWAHAHAHA Cheh - ang GALENG MO! I do will folllow all your little instructions and see how it can help me. But really I’m not suicidal when I’m upset or pissed. I just have to laugh at myself for screwing things because I’m not a technical person. Money wise, I should have stayed home, gumastos pa ako at muntik makipag umbagan sa taxi driver but it was the highlight of the day -

I realized, when a digi cam or laptop is broken, sinasadya at ng mga manufacturer na after a year or two masisira sila dahil kung wala eh di wala silang bagong product. And it would annoy everyone of us dahil, bibili na naman tayo ng bago, diba? Panis sila!

stay cool dearie!besos kita gusto mo:)

Hahaha Carol, don’t be pissed, it wasn’t even your fault. I had no problem with the Brico Pack, it was I think when I downloaded the Mac OS Emulation Pack without reinstalling the Brico first. I did erased the Brico but the Mac files was untraceable so it was really annoying seeing screen pop-ups like a virus telling me that the software which I think has nothing to do with the XP problem has been trashed off.

So now, don’t worry, all things are back (didn’t backed up the rest) and running. I had a talk with the IBM tech people and advised me to restore my IBM access programs. It worked! I have however lost all my mp3’s and photo files but nothing to worry, things just look perfectly OK.

    Cheer up!

  5. carol says:

K,when you uninstall a Brico Pack,it asks you if you want to revert to the original look. When that is done, then do a registry clean, then go to Windows folder and look for Brico folder and see what’s left in there.
You could have asked me for help.
    Now i am pissed off.
And i would be even more if one of my things got broken.

  6. K says:

It is a “technology cursed” my halloween’s trick or treat. The TV is now damaged, I still can watch via remote pero comes payday, small flat screen is on the list. Laptop is back, fresh and clean so no more trashy programs. On a positive side, ok naman yung nasira yun, about time na siguro to purchase a new digi cam/tv. Little things has an expiry date, even ourselves - kaso we don’t know when HE is going to call our number, diba? How’s things DEMENT?

  7. dementia says:

Boy, you really are pissed. I hate it when all my things break down all at the same time. It’s like a curse or something. Maybe technology does that to annoy all of us.

  8. K says:

And if I deleted something on my laptop, it won’t stop me but to keep on finding the possibilities na gumana ulet. So I was advised to restore the whole XP program kahit mawala ang mga mp3 files. It took me less than an hour to fix, kaso nga lang I stayed whole day downloading other programs on the internet.

I, too heart the Contemporary Jazz. My iTunes/iPod is back kaso I lost all my mp3’s kaya magdamagan na naman ng torrent download. Wish me luck.

  9. Beng says:

When hubby pissed me off, I shop til I drop so to say…and still feeling bad afterwards because of guilt :)
When my work pissed me, I turn off my pc, go the kitchen and cook :D kaya tingnan mo ako, di ba bilog?

Hey I hope you are feeling better now. And what did you said? One stick? Hehehehe, I know the feeling.

By the way…thanks a lot for the “Contemporary Jazz”. I luv jazzzzz! Baka may Soul music ka rin :)

  10. K says:

Hehehe, Charles, not that I’m careless but I gamble on things that I know I can fix. I’ve always been a fan of “trial and error” then when I screwed it up, I could learn from it and share the experience. So I suggest people who clicks on my Crystal Clear post, I advise that they should read instructions before downloading and DON’T USE THE MAC EMULATION if you’re not sure. It might look as if an “eye-candy” cuz it really did make my desktop looked “nice”, just that I actually screwed up the instructions.

  11. That’s why I am usually careful with stuff that I download. I’ve been there, done that and paid a hefty price by losing most of my important stuff on my PC.

Anyway, hope things will be back to normal or fine. TC dear!

  12. K says:

Pras - glad you’re enjoying the music.

Luxwood - I don’t like pouring weather, it makes me even more pissed, not in HK at the moment but the winter is coming, another thing to experience a cold phobia.

Tin - I was upset because it happened in a span of 3 days, sunod-sunod. Eh going online is the highlights of my day pa naman, next thing you know, all the programs on my laptop crashed kaya ginulo ko ang IBM technical support. Panis.

  13. Tin says:

    Hey K,

So are you still upset about whats happening with you???? I think normal people will never feel better not unless they express themselves in appropriate manner and you did very well on that part…

Im pissed…got a headache! *I just wanted to express myself…you take care and always be cool!

  14. luxgood says:

i think its the weather pouring down hear.

  15. Pras says:

I’m pissed. Your playlist is just cool. I like to listen to it :D keep up the good work

  16. K says:

“Curiosity kills the cat”. I honestly try, test, use and delete all free programs I find in the internet, sometimes I don’t read instructions so I screw on things easily, technically.

  17. Daijinryuu says:

If you’re using Mac, Microsoft no longer supports Mac IE. As for all this other stuff happening…dude, I guess the curse of October is getting the best of you now, hehehe. :P

  18. K says:

I think about time to buy a new “this and that”. Technology is causing people to get annoyed when you are in HK, esp myself. Panis kapag you follow the tech-trend, masakit sa bulsa, diba?

  19. duke says:

    bad days do happen.

    chillax … it’s sunday!

  20. K says:

Ate Sach. NO. ‘di na parating regular. I now blog when I’m mostly feeling tired or bothered or worried. The habit has lessened quite a bit and I even limit the post. Blogging change, blogger change, I can see that and I can still count in my fingers those who stay the same. Kaya kung pupunta ka ng HK wag na wag mong sasabihin sa akin kasi baka di ko makayanan ang saya to meet you in person.

  21. sachiko says:

It’s great to be back here enjoying your posts. You update so frequently i missed a lot.
