Honestly if I am at work, I can really appreciate the habit of bloghopping. Yes I do. The distraction between my job and blog-reading excites or scares me at the same time. I don’t know, in my mind it creates stories and I always asked, “Who do I blog for?” I actually read way too many blogs. I also write way too much on my blog. I like spending too much time on my blog, end of story.
If you notice, when a blogger develops an audience and gathers a group of friends, there are demands that made me you think, “I want to write more, post more or stress myself more because it seems like there’s some deadline to finish.” You think, fook, what will I be writing about next? As you plan of writing that, you either subject yourself that blogging is not fun anymore. Do I really blog because it’s the trend online?
You know about those demands, like, post more often. Post less, blog what you feel or think that interests you. Stop blogging and go on hiatus. Blog more photos. Blog more personal topics eventhough it’s crazy. Blog about your cat, your mother, your underwears, your shoes or your I’ve-watched-these-films topics. Delete rude comments. Don’t delete rude comments. You’re boring. I miss you. Call me? Track spams? And the list goes on. It’s like so T.V. right?
What if you stop? At times when I do not blog for a period of time (which I think more or less than two days), it’s usually because there are things happening in my life which may be a little too personal to write on. It’s pretty ironic considering a blog is supposed to be an outlet for expressing your feelings and thoughts. And I still try to blog about it even if it’s not going to be interesting to say the least. Doing these things may sparks something in your blogging brain, you never know.
And so for the first time, I started clicking the “Next” arrow button at the top right corner section of this blog (not to confused with the “X” button) finding my way to read everything in random. If you are a wordpress.com user, every blog seems to sound all the same. Yes, we a-matter-of-factly using the same kind of templates, no costumization whatsoever, minus the header image. I believe when you blog, write what your mind tells you. It’s not all about the color of your template, not the entire look of your blog but it’s about the content. I’m not really good at it. But why is content so strong? Because it’s the beef of blogging. Start asking questions like: “What are my fellow bloggers interested in at the moment?” Sometimes there’s the awful sensation that you just can’t possibly blog about anything. Nothing inspires you enough. Everything seems too boring. And, the more you think about blogging, the less you are into it.
Well erased that. We can blog about anything. Blogging has changed dramatically these days, people like extras, it’s not all about just writing. People want photos of celebrities, it’s a form of Entertainment. Perhaps, you can post about a nude Paris Hilton if you want to get a thousand hits. I know you don’t want to do that (and some already did). So blog in random. It doesn’t matter how bad or well you write. No one will fire you. Try a little entry that catches attention. I think I made a huge hit when I asked “C’mon Toshi, c’mon!” Who the hell is Toshi? People was intrigued about it. I didn’t know why. Or you can say, “Somebody Tells Me That I’m Ugly”. These are things that you’ve probably wondered about but never found the opportunity to get the facts.
Sometimes, I think, all we need is a little break. Go to the mall, watch a movie, go for a walk, visit the beach, or call a friend [looks down at my mobile phone and scroll down my contact lists]. Just get out there and live your life. And remember that living a full life is a sure thing to kick out those blogger’s block out of the picture. But then again, I will never want to be a Flying Horesefly, ever.
BTW, I have received a tremendous request to download these music. You see, I am a very nice person. So you people out there, grab it while it’s hot.

So our posts get smaller, and more infrequent. Until we get no comments. Then we kill our blog because we’re bored.

I think I blog regularly because I don’t socialize often anymore. Sound pathetic right? Then suddenly, every person on the planet has an opinion to certain things that just has to be heard, so I thought, let’s just keep on blogging even if we have less audience.
But yeah, blogging is now my hobby. How’s that? It’s easy for me to write about the mundane things, sometimes I feel like I’m shouting out so loud for people to notice me. But seriously, I don’t write to be an excellent blogger, things that I blog just comes out from an ordinary situation.
take care tito k!
I like people who are humble.
Have a happy weekend K. And keep the vibe going.
ps: You’re admired.
I hope I’m not an influential blogger to you.
ABSOLUTE!!!
I just read several stuffs why readers don’t tend to comment on particular posts. It would help everyone out in writing.
Wow! Ang bilis weekend na naman! Have a relaxing weekend, K!
I think those 10 lists are ridiculous. It really doesn’t mean if no one make a comment on your post, it sucks. I don’t want to teach someone how to comment to a blog.
I don’t think anybody has to comment on anything they read, mine or otherwise. I must admit, if a post is way tooo long, I just read it and never add a pressure to the post. If I feel I have something interesting to say, I do.
And I hate it when someone would say: “Hey, I’m the first to comment”.
To me, my blog is about writing what is on my mind, my sexual exploits, my deviant behavior and relationships. The emotional stability that I normally have, or that I at least always appear to have, gets to take a break and I give into the melodramatics of my own life and I enjoy that whether I’m bothering to write every day or not, and right now–I’m not which is ok too.
If you don’t want to write for yourself, instead if you want to write for others, I think that is fun too but knowing why you write is nearly as important as what you write—that is to say, it isn’t.
As long as you’re enjoying yourself–screw it.
Sincerely,
Tact S. Optional
“I write what’s in my mind”. I love writing because it allows me to create something. I like to read about myself! It also gives me a massive sense of achievement but usually it makes me feel bad if i’m writing about someone in particular.
If only I blog to earn money, it’s a good way to get into an otherwise difficult writing profession.
Thanks! *jumps from excitement*
so far, i’m still enjoying this…and i’m still enjoying reading your posts.
Thanks.
i think blogging has saved my work life. my work life balance. or the lack of it. it compensates.
maybe i will write about it. i hope i don’t forget.
but, truly, if i let the readers dictate what when and why i should write, i’ll probably come up with mediocre or (worse) senseless entries that wouldn’t really be good reads (even for me!). and yes, if one doesn’t have the proper self-control (or a hubby like mine who makes it a point to “police” me because when i’m in the mood i can absolutely blog and bloghop the whole night long) you won’t have a life to blog about anymore.

so, i say, blog if you like, but not if you must.
