I’m too sexy for my shirt

Well, not really.
Since I wanted to kill my homesickness a little bit, I travelled not too far from my place riding my favourite tramcar to the Hysan Avenue in Causeway Bay. It’s a popular place ideally situated for touring around the Shopping area with the most fascinating crowds and of course, you would forgive me for doing the “touristy thing” because I was only trying to find the nearest McDonalds around and “rejuvenates”.
My poor Canon camera didn’t do it justice, it made me look like I really needed a rest. The crowd was much larger than I expected while I did manage to mingle around, it went well without even using a plastic. And as soon as I arrived home, I realized that homesickness was practically just an idea, not actually a living thing, so therefore it cannot be killed.
Maybe God wanted me to be in that place, watching what I was probably doing or was He spying on me? No, he didn’t. It’s just that He loves me so much He can’t even take his eyes off me. I’m glad the month of August ends today and I’m still here, feeling simply all right.
So what’s September going to be? I will still see you next month, that is, tomorrow.

aaawwww! ako naman ang na homesick- with HK! I want to go back there and stroll on the streets. When I was there- all I did was complain about the pollution, how some people are rude ( bumping against you on the street and not saying sorry), how life seem to go so fast and everyone is on the go - but your pics made me miss it. I suddenly feel sentimental about it
I used to go to Causeway Bay to shop- waaaaaah! did you take the tram until the western market?
nice pose? who took the pic??
What pollution? It’s the overcrowding but true, I have never seen such a blue sky like that (in the photo). Ok I exaggerates but this city is getting smaller but eventhough, it’s enjoyable around here (kung may pera man o kaunti basta may pang McDo, oks na). It’s how people live here, short distance to walk from district to district. I do that all the time from Pacific Place to Causeway Bay - just walking. What I like it here is the system, people follow rules, walang tulakan sa bus. And you can walk in peace. Kaya lang watch out, ang mga double deck, iwasan.
Who took the pic? Sus, passers by, “Mgoi, can you take a picture for me pls”. Dali lang.
Lovely pictures K!!! I like the shirt actually and it does look sexy. Is it somewhat see-thru right? Since I can see the outline of your body.
No shit, Charles? Remember I bought that shirt a few months ago on my grand shopping day? I got it on sale. Not bad even it’s so hot and humid, I still wear shirt - not see-thru, just onion-skin like cotton.
Geez I didn’t expect you’ll notice that. Hahaha now you’re making me shy.
I agree with Charles…
looking so sexy, K! hehehehe
gosh…another new month eh? I’m not looking forward to it yet…since I start school next Tuesday (blechh!)
happy thursday for you and happy wednesday “hump” day for me *hugs*
I realized I have not posted a picture of myself in semi-full lenght. I don’t casually do these but it’s safe here to give your US$400 camera to srangers just to take a picture of yourself.
Looking forward for a great Sept.
When I get homesick (and believe me, I do get that feeling more often than most) my chosen destination is actually Mong Kok. Standing there in the middle of the market seeing thousands of people pass by, and hearing Filipinos shopping and bargaining always gives me a sense of home. Sometimes, I just imagine that i’m in Divisoria or Greenhills. Hahaha. Then things start to get better.
Heyyy I miss Mong Kok. That place is getting so expensive nowadays. It’s too crowded but it’s fun to hang around, asking for bargain. Hahaha. Imagine on Sunday, it’s the most exciting day for Pinoys. I mingle around in the crowd once in a while. It looks like a big SM in an open space, don’t yoiu think?
Agree with charles… the shirt looks sexy.. but the man wearing the shirt… err… err.. hmm… err..
Haha, you look great K. And it suits you to a T.
And lovely pictures as well.
Stop teasing me Asha. hahaha, it’s tickling me. Ok, no more photos of myself next time, that’s it!
MCDO?! bwahahahahahahha! so you also had that craving …
As happiness is a state of mind … so is homesickness … you choose to be homesick … and now it’s time to choose otherwise
by the way …. nice pictures! love the “turista” touch
Well nagkataon McDo has this new sundae flavour, it’s the Mango Sundae, diba aliw? And yes, I can survive having McDonalds (except for the burgers) for me it’s my typical meal. They’re cheap, panalo ka (basta wag mo ng i-convert sa peso).
btw…I forgot to add that you’ve been tagged!
Awww, MEME is back? Okdokie, I’m obliged will do that for my next post, C.
hehe…i thought i’d see a photo of you with ruffa, you fooled us!
i’ll forgive you cos you’re having an attack..homesick flu hitting you bad,eh?
Hahaha Ate Sach, I dint mean to, apologies. I’ve seen few artistas before, Lani M in Esprit, Aga & Charlene on the Bar, Sharon in the mall, ‘bumped’ with Nanette Medved many times in the mall (she lives here, shes tall and super ganda in person) and Miriam Quiambao, her ex-husband was our client (pinay na pinay at mabait pero big spender, probably the reason why they got separated?). Dami nila kapag Summer sales. Si John Estrada? He’s such an asshole. Hahaha.
I’m alright Ate, need some rest lang siguro, salamat.
(i may be comment bombing you - making up for lost time ahahah)
i love hysan avenue! there’s a pretty trippy bar - well sports bar really - that i want to get drunk in. hehehe go there on weekends. they have a jazz band that plays in the morning.
That’s OK G, no obligation really, I know you’re always a “peepingtom”, that’s alright.
Is that East End? I love that place in Hysan Ave, sa may Manulife building along Caroline Centre? We used to go there watching the football match, the pizza are good. Kaya lang pag walang kasama, lakad lang. Sama nyo naman ako sa lakad nyo ni C. But I doubt, di na ako iimik nyan the entire timem nakakahiya.
Seriously loving the pics, K!

Brilliant stuff!
Thanks Pep, just a tiny glimpse of Hong Kong. I need a new camera (my Canon is old). There’s so much in this city which is so capturesque. I’m fond of taking shots of tall buildings, remember?
forgot to mention … KFC just opened here in Delhi … they say that it’s the first in India … tried it last week and surprisingly it does taste like the “authentic” KFC … nagulat ako kasi ba naman ang international fast food nila dito like McDo eh with Indian fusion … meaning with a splash of indian herbs
KFC is so popular here too. I’ll go for the a la king set. And I like Indian food too but not with the KFC, I’m sure but cmon you live in India, it’s the same thing here, Spaghetti House is never my type of fastfood, iba ang lasa (I dunno, mas malinaman ang Jollibee).
Your post reminds me of this song by McHammer:
Haha! I have a white-fitted shirt also! But my friends say that the white shirt I bought is mahalay when I wear it, I’m chubby, so they advise me not to wear it or the world would go kaput! But I feel comfortable with it. I love your shirt, K! BTW, wonderful pictures!
I like jeans in shirt or shorts in chinelas depending on the weather and.. no I don’t think I would love Winter months. Wearing triple clothes from cold weather is such a pain in the ass.
I guess I’m going to feel that way in a few months as well. Though I’m sure I will be overwhelmed with new experiences and people in Taiwan. I still can’t believe that I am leaving tomorrow evening. I still have so much to do.
I see pressure there, range. It’s nice to think positive wherever we may be. There’s a lot of adjustments and you’ll experience life differently than you didn’t expect. Well expect the unexpected, you’ll enjoy it there I believe.
Excellent collection buddy.. I am so glad to hit this site..
