Since I am an Aquarian and a loyal employee for 14 years, here’s my Zodiac profile that simply “tells it all”.

The Aquarius employee can’t tolerate unfairness in the office. Hair brained schemes will get the positive attention they deserve if an Aquarian has anything to do with it. They’ll try to help everyone. see the good side of a bad situation if it’s the last thing that they do. They are so smart-they can’t help but hold management in disdain if they feel that they are being unfair and unintelligent. It isn’t that they are overly ambitious and think they could be doing a better job- just that they think people in power should know better.

Most Aquarius workers are still looking for themselves and will want to try their hand at a variety of jobs in the workplace. Whatever they are doing, they will do conscientiously. They usually have strict personal codes that include a strong work ethic. Their bright, off-beat intelligence, and trustworthiness will typically gain them many friends-in and out of work. Beneath that sometimes odd-ball behavior is solid, concrete thinking and sensitivity to co-workers.

Keep your smart Aquarius co-worker happy by giving them plenty of opportunity to learn news kills. Raises are less important to them. No amount of money will make it worth their while to stay in a stagnant position. Don’t let them get too bored or they will simply find another job as easily as they found this one-their genius is easy to spot.

Thanks Carol.

oh btw- you changed your theme!!!

this becarry theme is always one of my faves. malamig sa mata!

Exactly! Isn’t that stupid? Well I fairly not like switching work from one company to another, it’s easy to find a job here (or in my case, not) but since I have a very limited “language” skills and I am not getting any younger, I stayed. I tried a few attempts to resign but it doesn’t seem to work because I needed the job to support myself (and other stupid essentials) and my family, you know life’s harder when you’re single and obligated - I guess I’m stucked in here with the same job.

I work for the company that gives good “benefits”, free medical, dental & yearly bonuses but true, my salary is stagnant, I need a raise for staying 14 years. I maybe a good staff but I’m a bit fussy about people who work with me. Lika, samahan mo akong mag BOYCOTT.

Oh you like this theme? I told you guys, I would never stop changing themes. Whatelse can you do with free wordpress? Limited.

wow…14 years? dang, thats pretty nutz! It may be the same with me with my current company too…hehehe :)
mines says this ~ Scorpio employees usually exude a quiet self-confidence. They are self-sufficient and do not depend on others for a sense of self-worth. They keep their private life separate from work and take complete responsibility for their actions and their situation. They don’t make excuses; they just take care of business and expect everyone else to do the same. Those who don’t co-workers and managers- will have to endure the Scorpio wrath. They don’t mind being completely vocal about what they feel is wrong with any given situation. And if you tread on their fire be sure to expect retaliation. They won’t take insults or opposition lying down. If you manage a Scorpio employee, be sure to follow through with your word and don’t break any promises-Scorpio is keeping track and building up some heavy resentments against you if you do. You may not even be aware of it until too late-but when Scorpio gets too much, you’ll be sure to know. Scorpio employees will react towards those around them exactly as they are treated. When they get what they want, they will be very accepting. If you are trying to work with or motivate a Scorpio co-worker, be sure to treat them respectfully and act professionally. Give them challenging work that allows them to utilize their awesome self-confidence and courage.

    blah!
    happy weekend K! *hugs*

p.s: loving the new look :)

  7. Wavatar K on 27.08.2006 at 14:50 Post reply

    Let me guess,

    “no playing in the couch?”
“no messing up in the toilet?”
    “no misbehaving while I’m blogging?”

Ahh, I want someone who tells me that, it makes life more challenging.

Nice theme! Ahh so you are an Aquarian meaning your element is air. Mostly people with the air sign are intelligent and basically good in communication skills. Air is also aligned with invention.

  11. Wavatar K on 27.08.2006 at 21:00 Post reply

That’s a conspiracy, Charles, I usually have problems communicating with my co-workers hahaha (ovbiously, I don’t have skills in Cantonese) but I thought I am a “water bearer” because it pretty much describes why I hate RAIN.

Or then maybe I’m both, I can always go with the flow. I can be very sensitive and easily get mad at times but my anger only lasts for seconds.

Woohoo thanks for the “theme review”, I’d like to hear more, the bad side maybe?

14 years? Ang tagal nun! Waittttt… I am not an employee yet, I’m just a plain old student!

Demand for a higher compensation K! Makibaka, makibaka!

A weird question, K: How do you individually reply to each comment? I’ve been figuring it out in weeks! Mama mia, I still can’t figure it out even today!

  13. Wavatar K on 27.08.2006 at 21:54 Post reply

Ahuh, fourteen long years. I started very young, I thought I was just gonna have fun for a month in HK. But you know, my parents came here to work, so I might as well do something to help the family out, so I tried part time. And eventually, after my first salary experienced, I bought myself a “SWATCH” watch, imagine that. I started to feel like, wow I had a salary (small or less, is something already BIG for me) and here I am, stucked and feeling like wanting to get old with it.

On replying? It’s the craziest, time-wasting process. At first I was *scratching my head* doing it but it’s part of my blogging. Question that -but we want our blog to look better as we please, right? So here’s the trick.

    1. Remember you have to be logged-in to wp.
    2. Post your comment as normal.
    3. Click “Edit your own comments”, then edit the “TIME/DATE” from the existing timestamp, say if one of your commenter posted a comment at 9:32pm, edit your time at 9:33pm (or the nearest date/time) so it would look like you squeezes into a conversation.
    4. Voila, magic!

    Patience is a virtue.

  14. Wavatar JV on 27.08.2006 at 23:21 Post reply

Wow! At least you’ve earned more than the salary that is offered here in the Philippines, which is quite low, especially when the groceries here are all price-up plus additional 12%VAT. Simply tells us that living here in the Philippines is not economical, for job pay is low and prices are high plus somehow a low standard of living compared to other countries! Perhaps, the government can brag that the Philippines is the second most corrupt country in Asia! LOL!

Aiiiiieee! So that’s how it works! Ahaha! Silly me! Thanks K!

  16. Wavatar K on 27.08.2006 at 23:46 Post reply

To tell you honestly, it’s tough living in another place. It’s super expensive around here, it’s hard but I just had to live with it. I love living in my province, it’s very simple back there, simple life and simple problems. Money can’t surely buy happiness so if you want me choose, I’d like to work here but wants to live in Pinas.

What I love here is the discipline really, everything are in order at walang lamangan. I hope sooner or later ganun na din sa atin.

Yeah, you did a good job on ‘commenting’, you’re welcome.

    I like the Sagittarian’s profile.

    I noticed that. So you’re a Sagittarian?

“They are willing to tackle even the toughest of projects as long as it is challenging and gets them out of the routine.”

    Well, that’s something.

Well, yeah since you are next to the lord of the water signs which is Pisces (my sign)

Btw, did you turn off your Akismet or not? Since I notice that I can see my comments at once.

  20. Wavatar charles ravndal on 28.08.2006 at 01:10 Post reply

well weird I saw it at once awhile ago and then it go swallowed now

  21. Wavatar K on 28.08.2006 at 01:24 Post reply

Not again Charles. I think this “swallowing” thing acted up when I’m logged on. I am not impress with this Akismet at all - not that I hate it but weird because it only happens to you.

You should clear your javascripts console, I think. Sorry about that.

  22. Wavatar charles ravndal on 28.08.2006 at 07:19 Post reply

It’s quite weird actually since I am using both my PC and laptop and I still get the same result.

  23. Wavatar K on 28.08.2006 at 17:32 Post reply

For the last two days, Akismet has caught less than 10 spams, and your comments was one of them. I don’t see why it is being swallowed - I need to find that out. Apologies, Charles.

  24. Wavatar charles ravndal on 28.08.2006 at 19:43 Post reply

It’s okay. It’s not your fault but Akismet’s

  25. Wavatar K on 28.08.2006 at 19:52 Post reply

But I think you said at Cheh’s blog the same thing, your comment got swallowed as well? Strange huh?

I think it’s because, I choose to stay Duke. And it’s because I have obligations to do (for my family). And also because I love my job except of course kapag ang mga katrabaho mo “bulok”, I’ll just go with the flow. Aquarian nga anoh?

  28. Wavatar range on 28.08.2006 at 20:26 Post reply

Hm, I’ve never worked more than 3 years in a company. I was working in IT, and you gotta change every few years to grow. In finance, you get recruited from one company to the next, the longest I stayed was about 2 years.

But, we are now both moving to Taiwan, so I’ll get to see K at some point this year, to teach in September. I’m really looking forward to this, I have wanted to live in Asia for some time.

  29. Wavatar K on 29.08.2006 at 04:00 Post reply

That’s certainly true, it makes you grow - but it probably just depends on what kind of job/place you’re in. For my case, I like the atmosphere in my company, I find it easier, there are some challenges too but, I’d rather stay than being out of work for a while, I have no one to rely on in here except for myself. Think about the house rents, bills and food, that’s tough you know.

I would like to meet you in case you pushthrough with your HK visit before heading to Taiwan. I’m sure it’s gonna be a whole lot of experience if you guys are planning to live (or work). Goodluck to you range and hopefully looking forward to meet you.
