Sleeping

Imagine going back to work after a few times off? Sometimes you feel a little rusty going through the same routines. If I could have stayed home that long, I probably would have too.

But being at home is not always the place during the solitary evenings. I was always moving & so tired all of the time because it was hard to nap. I went to bed about six (6) in the morning yesterday watching online pornos teasers video of the Philippine Idol from www.youtube.com. So at work, I feel like crawling under my boxers just to get a nice sleep. But the problem is, whenever I’m home, the sleepiness suddenly disappear. It seems like though I’m wanting to call Dr.Schultz with his big cautery machines just to get rid of my round panda-looking eye bag.

Nowadays, I never really sleep at my loft bed since it’s more enjoyable being in a couch than climbing up in a loft - well it’s a small one and I cannot even make a good stretch, I would just hang my feet in the edge of the handrest. I am now easily become so unattached sleeping in my bed, terrified of falling down to the floor as I climbed thru its tiny ladder during my wee small hours.

I was very little, about five, I used to believe when I would go to bed, I’d lie down quickly and shut my eyes. I did that because I thought the monsters would only get me if I was awake and there would be two tiny ones watching me, waiting to call the bigger ones if they saw me awake. Whenever I heard sounds under my bed, something was under it and was going to grab me through the matress with its long fingers and hands.

What is it with beds? They’re supposed to be a comfort zone!

As a kid, our imagination were just crazy. When I was a kid, if ever I woke up at night, I did not dare to move as I thought that there were monsters around my bed waiting to jump on me at the slightest noise I make.

But I learnt that the scariest thing in the world are the PEOPLE around us.

well, anything could be a bed, actually. one may sleep on the floor and consider it a bed. so yours is a couch, so what?

and besides, a bed is not just for sleeping…. ;)

I agree on the BED is for SEX too. I mean is that what you mean? Oh cmon we are all adults here Vina, don’t be shy now. As for me, I know exactly what my bed looks/smells like but what I mean is, I seldom sleep in my loft bed just because I find it hard to keep going up and down to go leak in the toilet. I love my bed, sleeping usually ‘nekid’.

i know what you’re saying about being rusty … actually i gave my staff a weeklong off since we were out of India that long … but now that we’re back they’re kinda not into the work mode yet … this morning i told my driver to go main porch of the hotel and wait for us there coz i want to go to my friend’s house … instead he started his way to my friend’s house without me! good thing was that he was still close to the hotel :)
now my ayah (that’s what they call Yaya here) is sick for two days after resting for one week … well that’s life i guess :)

It happens many times right after a long vacation. I noticed that ffew many times before, whenever I came back to work after a long holiday in Pinas, I tend to get very sick, like asthma or colds. Even after a few days off, I kind of feeling like my mind-cycles aren’t functioning really well. Sometimes, my brain just needed an extra day off.

    Uy may driver ka. Asteg.

You feel so stressed K! I think you’d better have a day off from work.

Whenever I feel stressed, I just buy a pint of ice cream or a box of chocolates and later go to sleep. It really rejuvinates me.

Since childhood, I always believed that there were monsters. In my case, it’s not under my bed, but in the closet. The BOOGEYMAN. I believed that there was a boogeyman, as my childhood friends told me. The closet door would open and something dark and ugly would climb in my bed, and would suddenly pull my legs and drag me into the darkness. I always open up the lampshade to ward off the boogeyman.

  13. Wavatar K on 16.08.2006 at 22:30 Post reply

No, it wasn’t a stress really, well I thought it was. I’ve taken those “magic” pills, ice cream, I got 3 cups, 5 bars of chocolates. Man I’m diabetic and I’m supposed to avoid these sweets.

I think I need sex. How’s that?

your monster story reminds me so much of Monsters Inc.
I was never scared of monsters. I was more scared of ghosts! yikes!

  15. Wavatar K on 17.08.2006 at 03:15 Post reply

Are you afraid of ghosts? For reals?

My mom told us stories about ghosts when we were kids. In bicol, there are too many urband legend stories, white lady, mananngal, aswang and all that. I haven’t seen one.. but oh yeah meron, it was right after our JS prom, hinatid namin isa isa yung mga ka partner namin, naglalakad lang kami. There was this Acasia tree at madilim and ….

    BORING wag na lang.

post a pic of your loft bed! i wanna see :)

  19. Wavatar K on 17.08.2006 at 10:21 Post reply

I tried to take a picture of my bunk bed, but you see my apartment is too small, can’t push myself back just to capture the entire bed, sad to say.

I was never used to sleep in a bunk bed, magulo kasi ako pag natutulog.

Oh don’t feel embarassed now, that’s basically answers your question, well you can add Chris Botti as the music background if you want to put more sensual feel about sex.

    Seriously.

I like my bed now. It’s the first bed that we bought as a couple, for my wife and I, and it’s cool. I would have like a king sized bed, but we didn’t have the space. I rarely fall asleep on the couch, we I do, I head for bed. I know what you mean about rusty at work, sometimes you just don’t want to do it anymore, but you have to, so you do.

  23. Wavatar K on 17.08.2006 at 14:53 Post reply

I would like a KING SIZE bed too, just for myself. It’s exactly why I can’t keep my eyes off looking at the beds in IKEA - they are cheap, glorious bed but the problem is, the size of my flat.

Oh, that is also a stress releaser, plus an exercise! Sex prevents us males from having prostate cancer. But first, you must find a partner. Unless, you want to please yourself. Hehe.

JV now you’re embarassing yourself here. Hahaha. Give me a link of that “bed exercises”.
