Black Eyed Peas “Bebot” & Top Chart Downloads
Hoy Pinoys, be proud. The music video mix, is one of the two (2) parts of Black Eyed Peas “Bebot” now officially released online last Friday.
I’m surprised to see Jasmine Trias, 3rd placer of the hit reality show, the American Idol Season 3, being featured in the video where she played the “sister” of APL. I laughed at the opening part where Fergie and Taboo came to pick up APL and were greeted by APL’s “Mom” (overly done) to watch the BEBOT show. And the rapping goes on, so well that it reminded me of my salad days where I’d usually butt in a crowd of people shouting and banging my head in the aerie, dancing until dawn.
Hopefully this is going to hit the music top chart, obviously in jeepneys or in the local clubs and even on my iPod. I would not be surprised, if one day, my brother’s band group will play this song in one of the pubs at the Red Light Disctrict in Wanchai.
The tagalog word BEBOT* is a street slang word referred to as “babe” or “girl” or “female” - taken from the Tagalog word “ba-ba-e”.

BEP are a great band. I like the fact that Fergie is from a girl’s band, Wild Orchid.

All along I knew that APL was the tall skinny guy named Taboo. They had a concert here last month I think but didn’t watch, reason: MO-CHEE-NA.
When I watched the BEP concert here in Istanbul, APL sang this song. I felt so proud. The Turks were singing along with him and it was so cool to be Pinoy!
And it’s the Black Eyed Peas - so that makes it cool huh? I think the Idols were in the video too like Camille Velasco, Jasmine & Sway Pineda?
Ahhh! So it’s the BEP who sang this song. I thought it was some local band here in the Philippines.
I was wondering who sang this song while I’m in the cab going back home. After that, I kept on singing it at home (oh, LSS!), without bothering to search who the artist or what the title was.
I thought the lyrics was like this at the first time I heard this song: Bebo, bebo, ye, bebo, bebo, ye, ikaw ang aking…. I didn’t know the lyrics, so I invented the lyrics. LOL!:lol: Silly me!
It will surely be a hit here in the Phils., especially many jeepney drivers and the “kanto-boys” would sing it over and over again until our ears would melt.:grin:
