Kindness Ave x Giving Ave
Originally uploaded by: cowgrilcaroline

Over the years, I have read many blogs who shared about the Good Life, and some have written words that nicely summarize important truths. By reading the beautiful blog of GiGi on her earlier post about the Ten Things I Know For Sure, made me feel to live a good, honorable life.

Be kind, or at least considerate, to the people you meet on your way up; they will be the same folks you will have to face on your way down. No one stays on top forever, especially if there’s no one below left to support you.

It’s the same exact words that I’ve been pondering these days. Whatever we feel about another, be it love or hate or passion will surely bounce right back to us. If we speak about some person, a word of praise or two, soon, tens of other people will speak the kind words about us. I believed that the only things we ever keep are the things we give away.

So I’m giving away my shout out to a big “F” friend Duke of Istanbul for the beautiful Antalya postcard that I received yesterday. You see, BIG things comes always in a little package. It seemed as if you comes into my flat, opens my refrigerator and helps yourself. I feel like I have already met you once before. God help you to be such a friend.

And to a few new wonderful blogfriends, you know who you are, who continue reading and leaving nice comments to this blog lately, my BIG Thank You. I am truly sorry that I have forgotten to introduced you earlier on. I highly recommend practicing the attitude of gratitude.

Have a great weekend everyone.

yups…BIG things sure do come in little packages! How’s your weekend going so far? How’s Ginger?

I need a vacation (big time)…take care and have a great weekend K!
    *hugs*

Ginger is sometimes bored like a sick snake sleeping under the bed without a toymate, like myself. But he lives in a very relaxing lifestyle, he’s not being neglected. You see I can carry out the kind act towards animals. Unfortunately, I might turn him over to the SPCA because I’m considering on moving to a smaller apartment next year. I have to really think about it. He’s been with me for over 8 years now. Imagine that.

Weekend is always not my kind of thing these days. I do work routinely so sometimes I can just skip these luxuries and be at home all day doing (almost nothing) or reading blog. Happy weekend to you too, C.

I was going to go “awww” as well. This post brings on a smile instantly. Totally agree with you on this one “BIG things comes always in a little package.”

    Have fun this weekend.

    Stay happy K.

Glad it made you smile Asha.

The big package comes from the ‘inside’ really. We may not realized it, but many of us, I believe, performs many acts of kindness. I learn to use each day to say, “I’m sorry”, “Thank you”, “Excuse Me” or “Please”, you know common courtesies that obviously are not very common these days.

Keep on smiling Asha - it’ll help you warm your home.

I think I’ve mentioned to her that I love receiving postcards from other places. I would put them on my fridge to cover the payment bills over a magnetize snoopy clips. Kaya ayun, pinadalhan nya ako.

Aha, now that you’ve mentioned it, you can be the 4th person to send me a postcard from India. I will email you my address.

Have a Yogariffic weekend Madam Gracie.

Charles, if you’re planning to send me something, it should be in a BIG package. hahaha kiddies but that’s a great idea, it’s still fun to check our mailboxes rather than getting a bulky bank statements.

Postcards and snailmail are always fun. Especially in this world of fast paced communications.

Honestly, using email makes me bored these days. I would normally just read my inbox and never respond quickly. It’s always frustrating to see our inbox filled with spams and forwarded messages.

On the other hand, however text messages have become more popular these days, you instantly get a reply in a zap even if you’re not online. But I’m still a fan of snailmail, it’s more personalized & fun except when our mailbox is bombarded with bank letters and bills! bills! bills!

Duke, that is sooooo NEAT. I’m adding the tag to my flickr group account. I want one from Norway and Canada too (pointing my fingers to range and charles). If I may sound appropriate, I also want your address (and Gracie, promise it will be safe) so I can return the favor - that is if you still like keeping a Bank of China postcard
