Get jealous

K, speaking! Can you tolerate people who think and say things about you without telling it straight to your fooking face? A matter-of-factly, I do think that these kind of people are more or less a bunch of horsesh**, if you know what I mean.

I was minding my own business the other day and I overheard someone in the corner table of our cafeteria where pinoys sits together for a meal, saying that I’m the person who spend all my little salary on clothes with the big LB (not to confused with, a Logo Brand) at the back of my shirt. They called me a Mr RL. A what? A Ralph Lauren spender - like I can give them my dirty finger for fooking out loud. From where I sat, I couldn’t remember who said that, so I’ve pretended I didn’t hear any of it.

The truth is, I’m enjoying my singlehood & I can spend it to whatever and whenever I want them for, simply because I’m working and it’s my money. Do you have a problem with that? It’s their kind of routine when there’s nothing to talk about, they pick on people because he/she look like this or that. These behaviour happens all the time to mostly some Filipinos. I don’t know why.

Listen, you may think it’s true, I love brands and I enjoy buying anything for myself. I don’t give a hoot in the face if you think you can outsmart me and want me to listen to your stupid opinion about how I spend my money.

Sometimes I wonder why do people hate you when you’re better than them? Jealousy? Crab mentality? Insecure? I know it’s a human impulse as simple as saying “I dislike you because you’re always on my way to success! I can’t be recognized because I’ve got more competence!” and lets face it guys, though we don’t admit it, it keeps running in our head. The bottom line is, it’s very annoying.

I think I’d better be off going solo than mingle with a bunch of fellow pinoys who think of themselves as nice people. They can kiss my tiny ass if that’s what they think of themselves.

I just hope it doesn’t exist here in the blogosphere.

So to you, shuddafookup!

Hockneyizer: Create a simulated collage from a single photograph. I’ve been playing with picture collage, like the one above, that creates a unique style from a single photograph. To create one, choose one of two styles: a “joiner” style image without frames or an image created from simulated Polaroids. Every generated image is unique. This toy was inspired by the photo collages of the artist David Hockney. Works with your photos hosted on Flickr or anywhere else. Give it a try.

i like the picture :) i’ve played with that collage making style as well on flickr and it’s so cool as you can re-try as many time until it comes out the way you like it ;)
yeah…i totally hate people who do that…it’s like go mind your own damn bizwax! it’s my money and I bloddy hell can do whatever I want with it…it’s for my own satisfaction and happy with my decision. Btw, is not like I’m using their money right? hehe…

you go K! tell em…I’ll even give them the finger ;P

Totally fun, wasn’t it? I like these flickr extras that does anything with your pictures, only if I have the right camera, I would do more photography posts.

Hahaha Consuela, funny that you actually add fire to what is already burning. But really, people who are like that are just a pain in the behind. I’m just ignoring them, it’s the best way to fight back. I could be mean if I want to, but it’s just a waste of time.

  3. Wavatar Asha on 13.07.2006 at 05:19 Post reply

Yeah, I like the flickr extras as well. Playing with pictures are always fun.

Oh, and to hell with people like that. It’s almost similar with gossiping. Somehow i like this post..hehe.

  4. Wavatar K on 13.07.2006 at 05:24 Post reply

Asha, I normally don’t like talking or posting about “other” people. Although I recalled I posted one particular person in my blogroll who called me a sarcastic because obviously that person was attacking me.

I can’t stand people who attack behind your back. I find them really disgusting and cowards.

  5. Wavatar range on 13.07.2006 at 05:25 Post reply

Whatever, those people are just MFs. Just ignore them. We all have our haters.

A madahfookah? LMAO. I’m singing RUPEE’s “Uh Oh” song for this range.

  7. Wavatar Kerryn on 13.07.2006 at 06:39 Post reply

K: I like your attitude to this - ignoring them will eventually work. Responding takes way too much energy.

I once worked with two girls who would speak Italian when they were gossiping/bitching about people. What they didn’t know was that I understood enough to know that I was one of the people they were bitching about and I understood enough to know that they were being cruel in the extreme. I could have let them know I knew; instead I ignored them. They eventually got bored with me - maybe by not responding I wasn’t giving them enough fuel - and moved on to someone/something else. If I’d confronted them their actions would have become more spiteful. I saw it happen with other people.

And, besides, while they were bitching about me they were leaving everyone else alone.

Anyway, I’m off to play with flickr…

“They eventually got bored with me - maybe by not responding I wasn’t giving them enough fuel - and moved on to someone/something else.”

That’s probably what I’m going to do. Hahaha I bet those folks would be so mad. Well, it’s not that I found it hurtful but it can be quite entertaining. Now I think am I that important that people need to spend their time talking about me and making up stories?

I hope you had a nice “time” with the dentist.

  9. Wavatar charles ravndal on 13.07.2006 at 07:24 Post reply

I think it’s crab mentality at its finest. Since they can’t afford it and certainly you look like a person with class so they tend to pick on you to satisfy their insecurities. That’s is also the reason why I never went out with Pinoys here since I think they are not worth my time anyway and I really got contacts with Pinoy people only from blogging coz I know most of these people here are educated unlike the ones who manage to travel abroad due to vaginal visas (though not really all)

  10. Wavatar K on 13.07.2006 at 07:40 Post reply

I totally feel you there Charles.

Well I hope it won’t happen here in my blog. I love “variety” of bloggers, I don’t pick on “oh he/she writes well, I must have him/her on my blog”. I can be your fan if you talk ‘like no one is watching’, blogs that makes me smile or laugh or meaningful, thought-provoking and better yet, just plain normal people.

Some time ago, I once encountered, God knows when, a “blogger fighting about blogging”. In other terms, “payabangan” (show offey?) because so-and-so writes well and so-and-so copy-and-paste-my-original-post , those kind of stuff. I mean c’mon blogging is for everyone, we don’t compete at each other here, right?

It amazes me though that even ourselves do the same thing here (I wish not in my or your blog - well I totally avoid clicking those kinds of blogs) and yet no one calls it gossiping.

Some people are pretty good at pointing fingers. (mine is dirtier if you’d like me to be nasty).

arrrgh! that’s what i hate about us Pinoys, the ‘crab mentality’! when someone’s goin’ up others try their hardest to pull you down! whatta shame! why not just be happy their ‘kababayan is doin’ good instead of gettin’ green on them! duh!

‘They can kiss my tiny ass if that’s what they think of themselves.’

yah bet they would, and they’d do it all the time!

way to go K, those people who envy you are fuckers at their finest and what you’re doin’ is just splendid, don’t mind the bloody blokes!

  12. Wavatar K on 13.07.2006 at 08:07 Post reply

Hahaha May, your blood is boiling 360 degrees there. I know what you mean, I mean venting this out can be a good thing - just trying to clear out the bulky stuff out of my throat. I’m very good at swearing but I don’t normally say it because I mean it. What I’m saying is, I only say those to “bad” people.

The irony is that I’m quite a private person (except here ) and that I hardly ever discuss my personal life with anybody. But wait, I think this is a personal blog, pretty much that I discuss about my life here so often.

    Go May swear it!

Sadly, this happens with a lot with pinoys. lakas mang intriga!

I agree with you. It’s better to be alone than pretend to be with these peeps. It’s your money anyway! Those guys are such noobs!

    Sinabi mo pa.

I guess they are just some bunch of retards (ok, I’m naming names) but I’m sure they were just sitting bored and think: “mmmm maybe it would sound interesting?” Ever wonder why on earth do people do it? Because they do have such an empty lives.

  15. Wavatar mick on 13.07.2006 at 11:51 Post reply

same people who tell you you should arrange books by their size, rather than by author. (wink Kerryn and hiya)

i’ve said it recently, but there are somepeople out there so unhappy with their own lives, they figure it is their responsibility to try and take other people’s enjoymentaway from them. so you like clothes? big deal. it IS your money, after all. i like music and books. guess what. i have more of everything in life than people with similar lifestyles as mine because i live life while they dream of life. same as you.

i say, buy some “morning breeze” and drop it next to them when you see them next. there’s got to be recipes online if you can’t find it commercially… when they look at you funny, turn to them and say, “wow, your shit sure smells, did you know that?” and walk away. they won’t get it, but observers will….

  16. Wavatar K on 13.07.2006 at 19:58 Post reply

i say, buy some “morning breeze” and drop it next to them when you see them next.

hahaha Mick. I don’t even know what a morning breeze is. It’s a habit forming if people have nothing else to do on their spare time. But you know what even good people can get caught up in gossiping on some occasion.

I think alot of gossiping happens because people like talking about other people. But it’s getting so annoying that even a pair of branded t-shirt can be a big deal. I mean, they repeatedly say things and often others will add something until it’s already blown out of proportion.

Hehehe Yuri, puso mo.

I mean in general terms, lahi na ng Pinoys yan. Baka mamaya pinag kakalat na ang podcast mo at gawing pulbora sa kanyon. Kaya ingat ka (sa akin).

Hi Ate Beng, good to see you’re back. I keep coming in and out at your blog to see kung may chismis ka, hahahaha. But glad you’re back and still keeping beautiful.

What? You killed an evil? Mahirap mamatay ang masamang damo! Gusto mo tulungan kita?

But seriously, there are many reasons why people may choose to gossip! The main thing is to not let it get to us.

  25. Wavatar range on 15.07.2006 at 00:45 Post reply

It’s about 33 celsius here in Montreal. Not humid for once, but dryish heat.

  26. Wavatar K on 15.07.2006 at 01:01 Post reply

Same here, same here. It’s overcast but now it’s like typhoon signal #1 (which is the lowest) outside, very windy and super humid. I din’t know it’s summer back there?

  27. Wavatar range on 15.07.2006 at 01:07 Post reply

Yes it’s summer in Canada. I’m on the east coast, the closest big American city is Vermont or New York City.

Montreal is the hottest place in Quebec, because it’s
    1) it’s the biggest city in the province so it’s got a microclimate
    2) it’s humid because of the proximity to the St-Lawrence River

It’s probably even hotter in Toronto, Ontario.

BC is like the California of Canada. Very temperate though, not as hot. No snow, just rain.

  28. Wavatar K on 15.07.2006 at 01:16 Post reply

Diff city with diff climate? That’s quite strange. Asia is very tropical although HK enjoys 4 seasons (not to mention thunderstorm and showers). It’s getting hotter and hotter and you could not even breath. So I better stay indoor, blog amuses me while I’m inside.

A colleague used to live in Quebec, she said winter in Canada is crazy. Never been to your place and I only know them in a map. Maybe you should post some pictures.

  29. Wavatar range on 15.07.2006 at 01:30 Post reply

Different climate is a big word. It’s just hotter in bigger cities because of the pollution. We have 4 seasons too, but the winters are hell. A lot of snow.

For example, its 33 here. Its probably 25 in Downtown Quebec City (smaller town, less humid, less pollution). Where my parents live, its probably 18-20. They live 15 minutes out of Quebec City near the mountains and its a lot colder there.

  30. Wavatar K on 15.07.2006 at 03:02 Post reply

I still think of Canada as the ICE country. It must be very difficult (at the same time fun) during winter. Honestly I haven’t seen a real snow but I think I’ll die from the cold weather. Winter in HK is like Autumn in NY, very inconsistent, almost wet & just killing everyone around here where most people tend to get really sick because of this.

I used to love the winters. But I’m ready to try something new. BC is quite temperate. That will be good for the dog. And me too.

And I hate raining, there’s something in it that makes me just want to stay in bed and do nothing. Just imagine going to work in the morning, I don’t think I will ever get to work on time.

It’s just a matter of getting used to it but eventhough people who likes cold weather still feel cheimaphobic once in a while so thinking about it makes me feel shivery now.
