Oh give me those chocolate bars

I have done my training exercise for the first time today called The BOSU Balance Trainer, and I felt like a huge dork. It’s difficult to keep your feet off the ground, but few minutes later, I’d already get the hang of it. It warms up the muscles effectively and lifting one arm up keeping it parallel to the ground is not easy as you need to stand at the center of the ball doing the best you can as steady as possible in ten seconds.

I have done too many abs and squats so now my back muscles was firing constantly, my legs are feeling numbed although I can tell it is very beneficial, fun, new and effective workout, I just want to sleep it over and see if my muscle needs a Mentholatum Deep Heating rub tomorrow.

Here’s one of the exercise as though looks very easy.

BOSU One Leg Bend and Reach - Once you feel comfortable standing on one leg and you can change the position of your hanging leg, you can try the bend and reach. While standing on one leg, bend at the waist and knee as you reach one of your hands toward the ground. Try and come as close to the ground as you can and then return to an upright standing position.

A good way to practice is by picking up items that you place on the ground in front of you. Begin with items such as tennis balls or a shoe and progress to more difficult items such as coins and playing cards. You can also use a pillow or a chair to elevate the object you are picking up to make the exercise less difficult.

Try it!

The little Godiva shop still ‘resides’ at the Prince’s Building on the G/F next to the BOSS shop. They’re getting so expensive but maybe you can treat me one pound of creamy white royal flavour. Meron na ding CS sa IFC - dami mong ng na miss.

    K!

GOSH I remember there’s also a Godiva shop in that mall where City Super is in Kowloon — Harbour City!

    tara na!

    Exactomento!

Yoga has a big demand to many busy executives these days. Imagine HK is competing at each other about GYM memberships. I must say, it’s about time I do these lifestyle than spending my time with smoking and BAR-HOPPING. I aint no 20’s to be in the club all night while killing my body. It’s a good stretch to start by doing simple than toning and cardio exercise.

But hey, let’s meet near the IFC, the GODIVA shop is waiting for us there. hahahaha.

  7. duke says:

    wow K!

your into exercise now! that photo doesn’t look easy at all.

    here’s a big bar a snickers :D
BI ( bad influence) ko talaga!

You don’t need to go to a gym. If you can buy this, you can start at home while watching Richard Simmons. Try floor aerobic, it doesn’t require any equipments, try at least 20 reps of jumping - standing exercises can raise your heart rate but diet food goes all that too. So you need to have a good attitude in obtaining a more healthy lifestyle.

Ahem look who’s talking, I need to completely stop smoking. Can I push you the 50th storey building just to make sure you can focus into getting a routine exercise? Kiddies.

  9. jcdaclison says:

give me that extra push, k!!!! i can’t seem to muster the focus and strength to go to the gym. i am so worried about my weight, i’m afraid when i open the door, richard simmons will be there to slap me around in front of a camera crew…hwaaaaaa!

  10. K says:

Jane, you’re such a lazy bum like myself too. I didn’t realize when we get older, our stamina gets really weak but when I started doing this, ahem 3 days in a row now, it is a total body exercise even without putting your reebok in a treadmill or signing up in a gym. You can use them anywhere in your house - except of course if you’re dozzing off cuz it will makes you more ‘lazier’.

  11. jane says:

    i’m too lazy………..sigh.

  12. K says:

Hey Sir Neko. I must admit this is not just for the ladies. Men have been doing this for toning and cardios as well. I tried few push-ups with the dome upside down using the egde of the platform, it really gives me the fire in my shoulders.

It’s a core exercise. It looks easy for the first time but once you’re there you wouldn’t think you can beat Sampras for this. I know this routines are slow, controlled exercises but it really “works” in your muscles.

  13. neko says:

    i don’t know about these benind over exercises for men… buddy… :)

  14. K says:

GO! Jane Fonda! You can groove with the funky hip-hop hits. Put Madonna in your music CD and do those steps. It may require a step-bench or like this ball that you can step up-and-down on.

I haven’t heard arabic for any music exercise? Likes to share a link for that pls?

  15. Mayang says:

i dance at least for an hour, just to sweat it all out esp. if i’m feelin’ a li’l more stressed than i shld. be i do it for two hours. just some good upbeat music to start me up is good esp. arabic and percussion beats work for me. and it helps, i mean a lot!

it’s also a great form of exercise and calorie and fat burner aside from you-know-what! hehe ;)

  16. K says:

V for Vwahahaha. Pasaway ka! I’m talking about your own exercise by sitting at your desk all day.

  17. vina says:

    exercise? what exercise?

  18. K says:

Oh there’s no obligation really Consuela. I don’t mind if you missed a few posts and comments. The best way to leave comments is when our body and mind is working on a right time but I truly hate your ’schooling’ because it makes you feel so deprived on your blogging habits. hahahaha.

As for the exercise, it’s a good way to start in your home even if you can’t do it in the gym. Exercise is a way of life, not an option. Remember that.

  19. hi K! how have you been? sorry I haven’t been by lately…i’m either busy with my books, with work and also trying to stay sane when not involved in the first 2 activities!! *grrr*

share some of those chocolates with me? I have given up on exercising…and yeah…I’m with J, coz I’ll fall flat on my face too…my coordination ain’t as good as it used to be… ;)

  20. K says:

“hahahahaha i’ll rub urs if u rub mine”

Silly! mag pa-massage ka na lang eh ang init kaya ng deep heating na yan baka mamaga tayo nyan.

Puro ka patawa. Salamat on the podcasting - you mentioned my name, masyadong lumaki butas ng ilong ko. But no, I’m not going to like podcasting, I can’t be myself and you’ll be surprised in case you hear me speak - I will be swearing all the time in the microphone if that happens.

  21. Yuri says:

K!!! I need some mentholatum deep heating now for my back. but pls no ky’s. hahahahaha i’ll rub urs if u rub mine, ;)

  22. K says:

Hi J, how are you? Haven’t seen you for quite some time (maybe because I didn’t have time to visit your blog).

Well for this exercise, I experienced that several times really. I thought I’m gonna hurt myself, but once you balance yourself, it increases your flexibility not just bending, it’s a good ‘machine’ to stretch too - you’ll never get bored of it.

  23. j says:

you know, i think i’d fall flat on my face is i tried that BOSU Balance Trainer.

  24. K says:

“She has started getting some good definition on her shoulders and biceps. Not bulky, just nice and cut.”

I think this ball is good for your wife. It’s a very indoor exercise, in your living room or in your balcony like an aerobic toning. You should buy one for her in case you come home to see her.

Remember, too hard is just frustrating, too easy is just ineffective, so this one is perfect esp for intermediate like myself.

  25. range says:

My wife is the one you should watch out for. For 3 months I went to the gym religiously in the beginning of the year. I ran 16km per week. I’m looking forward to starting again.

My wife has been going to the gym for 4 years. It’s not that she needed to loose weight. I think she actually needs to put on some weight, she is so skinny. And it’s not like she doesn’t eat, because I cook in our marriage.

She has started getting some good definition on her shoulders and biceps. Not bulky, just nice and cut.

  26. K says:

“And also you’re wrong K. I got my eyes from my father btw.”

Ahh, I didn’t know that since I haven’t seen your dad’s picture so I assumed you got the eyes from your Mom.

  27. For me I just bike a couple of km and I biked around 9 km today. And also you’re wrong K. I got my eyes from my father btw. As of all my siblings even though we are from different women… hehehehe

  28. K says:

I don’t run, but although it’s good for cardio, I find it more difficult than doing a few reps on equipments. But this ball works with cardio as well.

  29. range says:

I just run in the gym and use some of the exercise equipment. That’s it for me.
