A Dialogue With K

it’s all about the taxis, billboards, sidewalks, cinemas, zebra lines, lights, sounds, people, skyscrapers and shopping malls.

I’m going low key

It’s like when things suddenly lost its value, you easily feel nothing but a cold shoulder to melt the ice. Then again as you loook around on other things, you embraces yourself to actually do the same thing because you simply love doing it.

Just like that, my access to my domain is currently unavailable, maybe for weeks, months or permanently. The account could have been suspended for a variety of reasons, I don’t know. Maybe I just didn’t notice it. Or maybe, I didn’t know whatelse to do with my fingers, didn’t make a back-up of all my posts. Again, I will not be able to retrieve the important posts nested in that domain. I now refused talking to my host as the tech-guy has given me no alternative but to pay the bandwidth usage or cancel the account.

Does it look the same all over again?

I guess. But it feels like I have just ended my relationship with someone. Sometimes anger is confused with frustration. Relationships aren’t easy really. If we don’t learn from our mistakes, we’re doomed to wear a pair of not-so-fresh underpants.

You see, I might have caused a raising eyebrows from many of you learning that I am back to my old school with new tools. It’s not easy to learn but sometimes we have to take risks to be able to learn from all that crap. Keeping it this way is actually work, but it’s not rocket science, I’m starting to pick up the pieces, which is good thing for me because I have nothing else to rely on but myself.

I have previously become a prisoner of templates so maybe it’s time to put it low-key, making sure this is what I really want to do. You’ll never know when the spotlight might be coming but at least I know now how to speak with myself. I’m catching up, I know, but it is always rewarding to find something you like, but it is essential to like yourself first.

My life today is the result of my past attitudes and choices. My life tomorrow will be the result of my attitudes and choices I make today.

I’m assuring this new blog is easy to use, forget those silly plugins, those thick links, those fancy crowded templates, by keeping it casual but not isolating it to the whole-wide-web.

I’m here speaking, if you haven’t noticed.

The new look is nice and simple and also user friendly. Anyways, Bryggen is no way like Manila’s ordinary houses. The area is fascinating but my measly treo cant seem to capture its real colours and vibrance. I guess i will post the ones that Rasheed took when I will get a copy of it.

Hi Charles, you’re right, I looked at Bryggen pictures again, comparison is definately impossible - my poor eyes.

monday again. did you have a good weekend?

oh and well said at the last sentence. not the Marques Housten.. ahem. :p

well you’ll bounce back up in the future and experimenting with a lot of things is good. It’s a good way to learn. Next time if you do decide to use your own domain again…i’ll help you in backing up your blog database. it’s easy.

btw how much did you pay for your hosting?

hi Ear, I had a great time, not so big weekend but you know things just went random. Thank you for the little yahoo chat it made me smile ;).

I’m paying the cheapest package. I tried it out for the sake of creating my radioblog. It’s probably the reason why the bandwidth was overused. Okidox I’ll do that next time, thanks.

Boy, was I shocked when I tried to visit the old link and read the big fat word ’suspended’. I thought you were gone for good. Gee, am I glad it ain’t so.

2006-02-20 17:15:27

Dicey, twas such a shame! I received an email from my host and explained the problem. But I’ve somewhat decided to put it on hold.

I’m still not tired of telling the world how I feel so I continue blogging while it’s free. Somehow I’d thank the world for showing me that truth is more difficult to believe and lie is not. Thank’s for checking me back again.

K, I like the look of your new blog. I go here anyway not because of the template but the thoughts you write.

“My life today is the result of my past attitudes and choices. My life tomorrow will be the result of my attitudes and choices I make today.”.

Amen to that.

Princess D, No matter how much we do, no matter how much we believe, no matter how much we try, we’re just one, one against the world, we’ll never win the world, no matter how we try. Fook, what am I saying?

hi K. I agree with your ’silly plugins/ fancy templates’ line, those aren’t really needed for blogging anyway…

have a fine day!

2006-02-20 21:19:41

Hi Thess, oh please tell me if I’ve missed to add you in my quite important link rolls.

Yeah no pressure here - some plugins only makes it difficult when it didn’t work for you, so I assumed I will keep this simple for myself. Thank you for coming.

silly plug-ins indeed…

you’ve got to have an a-grade hosting for those.

i like the layout - it’s similar to first one! :)

Isay, I think I was wrong when I told you about getting a domain too. The good thing about having your own domain is that, it’s too liberating to do whatever you like in your blog but I think it’s really for business-related service. At least I tried and enjoyed it in a very limited time, no regrets.

Glad you like it.
